Nice cake, Awood! I'm impressed .
Jack, that sounds like a great vacation.
Ginny -- I have been doing my track workouts alone. The running group meets at a time that is not convenient for me, so it's just easier to suffer by myself. I'm so slow that I'd be running mostly by myself anyway.
I envy you guys who get to be outside with shirts off. I just don't have the nerve ;-) Though I do understand how good it feels to be able to show off your body in ways that you didn't when you were heavier. For years I never wore shorts, because I was so self-conscious about my legs. When I lost weight, I started wearing shorts again. My legs are still big, but I don't care. They've always been muscular, thanks to a lot of hiking and some years of bicycling. One guy at work made a comment once about me having the legs of a power lifter. Not exactly what a girl wants to hear, unless she is lifting, I guess. But I also figured I earned those muscles, so I just smiled.
A-wood - nice cake.
Jack - I have two friends who are working at Glacier this summer and another who owns a couple of businesses in East Glacier. There are some great hikes there. Bring a camera with a good zoom, so you can take pictures of the grizzlies, mountain goats and mountain sheep up on the ridges.

Ginny: This will be our fourth trip to Glacier. If you want, PM me with where your friends work and we can try to give them some business. We will be staying at the campground at Many Glacier so that's right there.
Return To Racing
Got in a nice 4.5 miles @ 9:45..... and both of us had our new race shirts on.

I will almost definitely go shirtless tomorrow night for my 10 mile run. I sweat too much this time of year and chaffing starts to become a problem if I run more than about 6 miles. The only other option is Band Aids.
Personal Bests:

My vacation is going to be very busy this year.

thanks guys! AWood cleans up nice doesnt he? And the cake was so good he has been asked to do our friends cake for their wedding Another 30 minutes today for the third day in a row. Biking to work tomorrow...that counts as cross training right? Does anyone have a sunscreen they can recomend a pale kid use while running?
Jack, I would enjoy a camping trip like that.
Dan, that intenirary looks quite busy. Lots going on, have fun.
I don't mind going shirtless but it has to be early in the morning or late in the afternoon. I have way too much ink on my back and shoulders to do it during mid day. Sunburns hurt too!

Why? Are you not supposed to put sunscreen over a tattoo? Or does the ink fade with UV exposure?
Sloooow.
Quick check-in, rest day for me. Oldest had a camp day today so the youngest and I ran errands. It got to 96F out and with all the in-and-outs, outs, putting youngest in her car-seat, the heat has wiped me right out.
Good news, my mum said this morning that her, a brother and a sister are wanting to visit in a few months. It's been nearly two years since I saw my mum, five years since I saw my brother and a year for my sister. I miss my family a lot, so I'm excited! The last time my mum saw me I was 70lbs heavier too!
Smaller By The Day
That's exciting! I bet they're going to lose their minds.

Dan-- Wow-- that is a vacation of a lifetime! How lucky you are to be going on such a trip. I sure hope you write up a vacation report on this one.
Coralie-- Ohhh family visits...nice! You're mom is going to be so proud of you when she finally sees the new you! In a couple of months you'll probably have lost even more weight.

Margo, yes you should use sunscreen if they are exposed, and yes it will fade them with prolonged exposure. With a regular short sleeve shirt, all mine are covered. I would need a long term contract of large quantities of sunscreen if I were to use it, lol. It's just easier to keep my shirt on.
If we are traveling half way around the world, then we want to see what we can when we are there. The part I am looking forward to most in Bengbu. I finally get to see the city my daughter was born. Last time in China we only got to visit the capital city of her province.
Wow! What a fantastic sounding trip! You will need a vacation from your vacation when you get baCk home.
