What? Did you just do a FreeSoul?  (that's my new expression )

To be honest, I hit post so many times on my original that it came up twice so I had to think of something instead of leaving it blank. I was going to put "fuckadoodle" but decided the face was better

                From the Internet.

                  Hi dailies!

Taking today and probably tomorrow off, my legs are feeling achy and tired. My older pair of DS Trainers is possibly due to be retired (how does an average sized female only get 250 miles out of a pair of shoes?? I've been doing it consistently for the last year :C ), which might be contributing to the achy tired legs, so I ordered a pair of Mizuno Wave Sayonaras to try. I liked them when I first tried them on last summer but sent them back before I actually had a chance to run in them. Why can't I just stick with shoes that I know work for me? Who knows. Hopefully the Sayonaras will be a nice addition to the rotation Smile

Possibly racing this weekend, there's a 5k near my house on Sunday. Not a certified course as far as I can tell, so if it's not a PR at least it will be race day practice and give me an idea of whether my goal for my Oct. 5 race is reasonable.

                  Barking Mad To Run

Rest day for me after 3 days of running and watching lots of football.   Drinking, cheering, and swearing during football can really wear you out.

Is this crazy or what?  This happened over the weekend in San Antonio.....OK, a cyclist here in San Antonio is on his ride and gets mad because a car is parked in the bike lane.  So the cyclist smashes the car windshield and keeps going on his way.  The driver happens to be coming out of a nearby house when the biker breaks the window.  A chase ensues the guys in the vehicle do a 'drive-by', shooting at the cyclist. Jeez.  Welcome to the neighborhood!  Here's the news story:  http://www.foxsanantonio.com/news/features/top-stories/stories/bicyclist-chased-shot-at-after-breaking-car-windshield-6299.shtml#.VA3rM2PEdGU

Congrats on your streak, LRB.   Yeah, I saw that full moon this morning as I was driving to work...then I noticed my beard seemed to be getting a little fuller.....

Feeling better than usual for a Monday...must be the full moon, Dave!

Good luck with the 8 w/strides, Lily...and please survive the day.

Good luck with the creditors, Damaris.  If they get out of hand...smack 'em in their full moon!

So you're in taper mode now, B-Plus?  Good luck.

Hope your testing went well, Z, and everyone red readed rud.....shit......got through it!

It is nice sleeping in until 6 a times, D2 (I can relate to the 4 a.m. thing).   Happy running tonite.

Went for a short walk in the pouring rain.  Did the doggies have their own umbrellas, Marjorie?

Nice weather for your race, FreeSoul.  Hope you get your oven fixed!

Lauren, my advice is to stick with shoes that you know work for you.

My DST's were fine for the 5 and 10k season

but were no match for MRT and the higher mileage that comes with it.

With your uptick in mileage you could have a similar issue.

                        8 miles Saturday.

4 miles Sunday morning. 6 miles Sunday evening.

                        Rest day today.

What's up dailies. My once a month (or so) check in.  Getting mid 40-45 mpw in for close on two months now. Was down on the Paint Creek Trail Sunday for a charity event 13.1 (Medals 4 Mettle) where I thought I might have saw LRB pass me as I was heading towards the turnaround. Put on by Your Pace Or Mine which also happens to provide pacing for the Brooksie Way HM.. so I thought it a fair chance. Was going to say hi when I hit the finish, but you (or someone looking like you) was already gone.

                          Anyway.... hope everyone's doing well.

Yes, I did 14 so I was probably running in circles getting that last mile in when you got back.

                            Are you doing brooksie again?

This really shows how individual shoe preference really is. I found the DSTs to be too clunky and they could only be used for recovery days. I couldn't wait to use up the miles on those!

I was horribly slow yesterday... almost bagged the run before I even started due to feeling like I was going to throw up. Toughed it out anyway.. but good chance you left - I really dragged ass.

Not going to run Brooksie but I'll be at the event.  I got a buddy running it who's on Hanson's yellow team.  I got a guest wrist band for the team challenge tent. So I'll be there watching the finish and getting some food/beer afterwards.  I didn't see you in the pacer list.. does that mean you are running it for reals?
