I didn't beat the rain, but it was very light and in 45º I can put up with that, at least for the 5+ miles that I ran. About ¾ of a mile in, my abductor started aching again so I stopped at a telephone pole and did some leg swings, both front to back and side to side, and after that everything was fine.

I have 5 and Pilates today. Want to run outside but have a gazillion deadlines today and waiting on comments to my pleadings before I can file so I might have to hop on the TM AGAIN, sigh. Maybe tomorrow will be the day outside, ha.

Probably a rest day. Going to my brother’s house for a Christmas gathering.

Hey-oh!! I had a track tempo run this morning. I only had 3 x 1 mile tempo but could only hit a 7:20 pace on those. I haven't done any hard running in a couple of months, so it's a start. Slow tempo pace for me, but at least I am not the Detroit Pistons.

3.3 mi then 20 min strength. I did a pretty good job of keeping up with weekly strength workouts in 2023. 1-2 x 20-30 min almost every week using Peloton strength in my living room. Its not a lot but its something.
No beating the rain here. It started last night. Supposed to get heavy in the next hour or so. Probably a rest day. I at least got the stuff out of the house to go to Goodwill, Now just gotta work on the treadmill situation.
5 turned to 2.5 due to work. I'll run them tomorrow.
Also, I can't breathe well. I better not be sick!

Is the pollen high in your area? I've gotten the periodic weather images in Windows that we have high pollen. In freaking December.
I’m convinced this is how the Lions were so good this year: the 4 teams got together and agreed to squeeze every drop of potential success out of the Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings, and channel it to the Lions. None of them had much to begin with, so the teams on the outs are now really wrecked. Detroiters will take that tradeoff.
I did beat the rain, and ran 7 sluggish miles at a balmy 48 degrees.

It was 55F yesterday and 25F this morning so I'm just hoping it's that and not, you know, fucking Covid.
If we don't hear from players by this weekend or they don't sign up for our group. Can we take them off the team?
Whoa, ease up a little there!
Runners in questions have already been messaged and no response. One has been in the game before, so assume vacation (maybe). Other is new and from periodic posts on the jerks thread is injured and may or may not be running, but of course has a high goal.
lol. I've had teammates who never posted but ran their miles every week. One was in the military and posted once to tell us he could not post and that we'd never hear from him again.
Usually the non posters at least check in once to acknowledge their presence. After that, they may or may not check the team forum. Which leads to absolute shock the game goes all year
I've had teammates who were silent until the game started, then participated...there's always hope.
