Oh hey I just ran my first 80 MILE WEEK NO BIG DEAL
Only if your name is Cyberic
Hehehe. Very nice! That's a lot of running in one week.
It's not that it's not a big deal, on the contrary. It is such a big deal that I want to keep on doing it!
About high mileage: in the runners I know, it seems like proportionally there are more women than men who like the higher mileage. Or maybe I just pay attention more to one gender than to the other.

I like high mileage. Work does not let me get there too often but high mileage and less speedwork is better for my lungs vs the opposite. I am never smart though lol

Okay it definitely is a BIG DEAL but it's also normal for you!
I ran 9 with 3x1 mile w/ 2 min recoveries and then 4x400m
Impressive work.

Congrats!
12 miles with 6 faster than GMP, wearing race day gear.
52 for the week.
I am testing some socks during my 20, socks that had given me sock bunching as the others. 17 miles and so far nothing. But this is at easy pace. Normally the faster I go the faster the socks bunch. But promising.
You seem to have more sock issues than anyone I’ve ever known.

What is your race day outfit??
I have hallux rigidus (toe arthritis). Bet you don’t know many runners with it.
20 done. Missed two miles this week but still, 61 miles were not too bad with work travel and all that shit.
Nothing too exciting. Eugene Marathon race shirt, which I really like and has kind of become my go-to. The usual race shoes, but I have been rotating two to keep one at lower mileage, which I wore today. Same shorts & socks as always.
