I've always done a three week taper, but then again I am doing a lot of things this cycle that I have not done before.

Same for me. 4.3m recovery. You're right, they are important, but it's counter-intuitive to my brain screaming at me for getting up at 5am when my legs are so tired. My brain lost this morning. I'm sure it will rebel on me at some point in the workday though.

Yes. And no taper at all. I ran 50 miles the week before my marathon PR race. Figures.

That first quarter mile was ruff. I actually considered turning around.
