It's funny because I appreciate being on West Coast time to catch stuff on TV that I can never stay up late enough for on Eastern Time. Mostly sports, but the last two weeks it's been the conventions (yes I'm a geek). It's gotten me spoiled, because when whatever it is I'm watching starts pushing 9:00, I'm like WTF, it's getting past my bedtime.
I watch as much Red Sox as I can, but lately the "IDGAF" is winning out. I am glad it's not football season.

HI!
You're in the right place.
HI! You're in the right place.
No, I'm not, because this is the right place for people who actually ... you know ... train for marathons.
Were you the kid in school who went home to change clothes at lunch because all of a sudden you didn't like what you were wearing?
No, I'm not, because this is the right place for people who actually ... you know ... suck at marathons.
You've been paying attention, awesome!
Oh, well then -- I guess I am in the right place!!
Because I am awesome at sucking at marathons.
You couldn't come up with that on your own?
lmao
Thanks, DaveP.
Thanks Baboon.
Dave
Lol, nope.
I was trying to think clean you know, not dirty damn it.
Hi guys, how's things? Sorry I've been too much of a slacker to check in. From what I can gather:
We still suck at marathons.
Training in the summer is hard, yo.
Baboon is still the man.
FreeSoul is still thinking about sex.
Did I miss anything else?
I've been busy working a summer school job plus trying to get in bits of vacation on my days off. I am really struggling with running consistency, plus it's hot as hell here. I'll just keep trying, I guess, because something is better than nothing.
I'm also leading a beginners' walking and running group that's working towards completing a 5K in September. It is fun helping people get started and feeling like I can still have a focus even if I'm not really feeling it myself at the moment.
I've also started to play Ingress on my runs, and that's fun. It wouldn't be great for a serious training run, but since I'm just hobbyjogging for real right now, it's a fun way to stay motivated and gets me to change up my routes a bit.
