Other than tonight's run with DH, today is a rest day.
I didn't get home from the track until 10 PM last night, and figured I'd wait until this morning to post my work out.
I did a 2 mile warm up around the track, then 6x800m before following that with a 1 mile cool down.
I was aiming for a pace between 7:30-8:00mm as that is my goal pace for this coming Saturday, and I figured it would be relatively tough but easy....ish.
That didn't happen, with the beginning of each hard lap, I found myself around a 7mm pace WTF!!!

It was a tough work out, not easy at all but I enjoyed it. The temperature was 79, humidity 84% and dew point around 70 or 72.

Oh and according to my garmin, that workout gave me two "PRs" again lol.
It said I ran a 5k in 23:57
And a 10k in 48:48 which is where I am hoping to reach this Saturday, or at least get under 50 minutes. And I guess this includes running the first 2 miles around a 9:17mm, so if I can get a good spot Saturday and not have to spend energy passing people or getting slowed down, a 8:15-8:30mm pace shouldn't be too hard. That's my modest goal, I want a sub 8mm and to get under 50 minutes.

It seems to be working out that way lol, though I'm still not near my A goal for a 5k but I expect that to change when cooler weather comes. I want under 23 minutes before this year is up but I really want a sub 7mm finish which would give me a time around 21:30. There are quite a few good 5k's before summer next year so hopefully I'll see that goal reached by then

+1. Got up & had breakfast at 3:30 AM, despite being a rest day. It's 7:30 now, and about time for second breakfast.
I should have eaten something at 3:30. Maybe then I could have fallen asleep earlier than I did. Tossed in bed for like 5 hours and slept 2, grrr.
I thought that was normal ffs.
