Finally, FRIDAILIES! (Read 43 times)

Good morning. I hope that everyone is well.

I'm off to the gym to serve time on the TM before work. I didn't do weights yesterday. By the time I left the hospital, it was less than an hour before the Y's closing time. So, I just did fifty minutes of walking at 4.0mph (15:00) at a 7.0 incline, push-ups, and ab work.

My dad is having more tests run this morning. On the bright side, his lower-back pain is finally being addressed. So, his quality of life might actually improve. It still sucks to see him stuck in there.

      What up doe!

I am also headed to the gym for a mix of core work and a short run. Afterwards, I will put on my Captain Kangaroo outfit and spread joy and good cheer to the adults of the world.

      See ya!

'Morning!  Happy Friday!  According to the local TV weatherman, this has been the coldest February on record for our fine state and the avg temp has been half it's normal temp (15 vs 29).  Wind chills today will hover around -20, so I'll be hiding on the treadmill again.  I know it's cold when even my wife won't run outside.

        <3

-15F actual temp here. But not windy, so it's not too bad, right?

11 on the treadmill with 8 at GMP.

          Barking Mad To Run

Nice easy run/walk of 3.6 miles after work yesterday in the park near the San Antonio Zoo and around the very picturesque campus of Trinity University.   Sweet weather.....71 degrees; sunny; blue skies;  flippin wind was blowing about 18 - 20 mph gusts at times, so that got a bit interesting when I was running into it.  Even so, really nice run/walk.

Friday is one of my two nonrunning days for the week.  After work today will go pick up my packet for my Saturday 5K.  Pick up my packet tomorrow for my Sunday 5K.  This weekend I am doing

            Saturday....

            Sunday...

LRB, you are way too young to remember the original Captain Kangaroo......

-20.....-15....sheesh, Dave and Baboon.....I don't know how y'all put up with those temps!  I'd have to move to a warmer climate area! Oh wait...I was in Ohio before...and I DID move!   No more winter for me EVER AGAIN!      Y'all stay safe!

The knot in my left ass was rubbed out during my last massage (it took two sessions to get it all).  What a relief to not feel that stupid thing anymore!

I wonder if that would work for the knot in my head.  I know I must have one cuz sometimes Gail says to me "You knothead!"

*sigh*  12 degrees now, going clear up to the mid-20's.  I'd have to put on every piece of running gear I own to manage that.  Plus, we still have ice everywhere, slipped and slid last night just walking the dog.  Yeah, I'll pass.  40's tomorrow, maybe it'll all go away.  Meanwhile, call me grumpy.

Bas - continued good vibes for your Dad.

LRB - really trying to envision the Captain Kangaroo outfit.  Old man in a red blazer?

Baboon and Dave - stay warm.  That's crazy.

Scotty - that does it.  I'm moving to SA.

Phil, have fun on the TM.

                    DaveP MI, excellent eleven.

scottydawg, I always enjoy reading about your runs and your races. San Antonio sounds like a beautiful and fun place. Good luck this weekend!

LittleBlue, enjoy doing whatever you do.

I did better than I expected at the gym. First, I arrived early enough to do fifty minutes, instead of thirty. Second, my goal was to run for fifteen minutes before slowing to a brisk walk to clear the mucus. I made it to twenty. TWENTY!

My dad had an Doppler ultrasound of his kidneys scheduled for 7:00 this morning. I'm waiting for my brother or the nephrologist herself to call me with an update sometime this morning. Everyone, thank you for your support.

It was only -13 on the east side so you win.

Nice job on the run, glad to see you back it!

It is 50 here now and should be up to 70 later today. I think I win.
