Where is the sun, Wednesday penguins? (Read 18 times)

Zelanie

The "Penguin" daily threads were originally conceived to emphasize that all members of the community have a place on the boards. Encouragement, motivation, a little love nip (you will love one, give it a try!) or even a little kick in the pants when needed -- it can happen here. Basically, we celebrate just getting out there and moving our tails! What is "slow"? "Slow" is a perception but one of the common benchmarks is the 10:00/mi pace; but there's no firm line. In fact, there are many of us that have slipped past this, and just hope that no one notices and revokes their "igloo privileges." And some penguins don't run at all, we just hang out for the company! It can be confusing for the forum newbies, but we're not one of the teams in any of the fine games. It's a totally open group, so stop lurking, post an introduction of yourself dive in and join the fun! No application necessary! There might even be a lovely picture for Scotty (we love pics!)

OK, so TODAY will be our first full day of solar.  We might have only flipped one of the two switches on yesterday by accident.   Supposed to be dark and rainy and floody out.

I ran 5 last night, will go to the track and run something tonight.

Morning!  Our first full sun day in a while as well.  It rained so much these past few weeks (even by Miami rain standards) that they closed the zoo for fear the lions could swim to the public area.  That's how flooded we are.

Oh, I ran my 7 last night, twisted my groin while coughing on the run.  Have 6 tonight.

Ouch Damaris.   I hope it feels better today.

Z - I'm glad you figured out how to get it all started.  Of course, without sun it may be a while before you can see results. Enjoy your track workout.

FM:  foggy here again.  I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit before I do my nine.

            Singer who runs a smidge

Howdy, Penguins!!  Well, I went to the doc for my checkup, and everything's fine pending the blood panel.  I also discussed the fact that I've been sick for-freakin-ever, and was diagnosed with "post-viral lingering cough".  No drugs to take, just ride it out.  Lovely.  But Maggie got her stitches out this morning, and will only have to spend two more days in the Cone of Shame, so that's all good.  Poor kitty, she's tired of not being able to see peripherally!  Although Dusty is scared of her cone-head, which is hilarious!

Zelanie -- We don't generate a lot of power on dark rainy days, but on average we've lowered our power bills by at least 50%.  Woo-hoo!!

Docket -- hope things start drying out!!

Ginny -- good luck with your 9!!

When it's all said and done, no one remembers how far we have run.  The only thing that matters is how we have loved.

The sun is out and it says we're generating 5200 watts. I think that's good for December.

                Return To Racing

We ran 5@10:15 despite half mile walk breaks and a full tummy thanks to a holiday lunch at work.  Guess I was underdressed and wanted to get home.

Hope the the groin is better Docket.

Glad your check up is okay HsM.

                  Enjoy the 9 Ginny.

                  Happy generating Zel.
