Feeling a bit sore all over. Including my neck and shoulders. But I felt okay running (that's what matters, right!?)
Straight. Up.

Don’t worry, spring will be here in a couple weeks.
Damn it, and I still can't get that job in Seattle. We skipped through Spring. In fact, we skipped Fall and Winter as well this year.
Damaris
probably 6 weeks here
The groundhog said you’re getting an early one, so you’re all set.
This is all very bizarre for this region of course. I’m told it happens about once every 10 years. Usually by now I’d have to be mowing my lawn.

For Dave:
We had spring last Tuesday when it was 70 degrees.
essentially 10-mile race pace for a sub-3 marathon runner!
10 miles .
hey man, you are a sub-3 marathon runner!
Colder than usual here too. I almost had to wear a long sleeve at my 10k yesterday...it was in the 40s!
Speaking of which, the results are STILL not posted online
And a 38:51 10Ker
MTA: It's just that I don't feel in that kind of a shape right now.

I hear ya. That "in shape" period seems to be very fleeting doesn't it?
Aka, Miami Winter...
Another one for Dave:
similar situation in Madison, WI
That's the point, isn't it? Imagine how grueling it would be to stay in peak shape all the time? I gave myself a good break, and now I'm slowly trying to add some intensity.
But my next big goal will be attemped in the fall of 2020, not before. Until then, I'll train, and race some, but I don't expect anything big.
Baboon says what the rest of us are thinking. I thought about driving to the gym to pay $5 to use the treadmill, but then I’d have to shovel the driveway first, and I didn’t really want to run after shoveling. So I ran 5 miles in the shit around the neighborhood, and it sucked. But it was only 5 miles.

The last time checked, the daily rates here were $20. At which point they should just post the gym as members only. Ridiculous.
Today was the longest day ever. It didn't help matters that my legs felt like overcooked pasta. Rest day? I could use a rest week!
