7 miles, and woo hoo, my quad pain is nearly gone! Just a little residual stiffness. I’m happy with how quick the recovery was, considering how bad it was the first two days. Still not interested in doing a whole lot of downhill running anytime soon. Fortunaty the LR route for Saturday looks pretty flat, by Seattle standards.

Yay for no pain! My glute is still hurting since Sasha tried to kill me last week by making me trip and fall.
She has been on Prozac for a week and we are hoping she starts acting like a normal cat. Yesterday both Gracie and Kahlua came by her spot and she didn't heeved and hawed like she was being killed. Smacked them both and they moved on so I call that progress.
I have 5 and weights later.

4 miles. Felt a little less humid out there.
It's taken my cat this past week to adjust to us being back from vacation. He's been following us everywhere with lots of meowing. I think he's finally settled down and stopped hating us for leaving him.

We had that with Hershey when he was the only cat decades ago. And that's why we ended up with 5 cats; now they are entertained and they don't miss us much when we go. Maybe Sasha would since she is sorta living upstairs by herself.
36 minute run/stand warmup on the mill … knock on wood regular run tomorrow
My relationship agreement with DH only allows for 1 cat
This was my husband's meme, lol.

Whatdaya do there, Ace! I swam 2500 yards, and just got back from a 7 mile run that was, like, a regular run. Not a struggle and nothing hurt (speaking of no pain). Missing all of July though, I have not acclimated to the summer, so I was feeling the heat even though it was only 80 degrees. Anyway, this was encouraging.

9 with 6 at FM pace this morning. My goal for the race is 9:00. I averaged 8:57 today, so pretty close. I doubt I could have done 26.2 at that pace today, but I have 3 more months to train.

I read that as "fuck me" pace. I have a lot of those runs. Anyway, never in my history of marathoning have I done an MP training run and said 'yeah I feel like I can do 26.2 at this pace." Then when race day comes - sometimes I can. Sometimes I can't.
This BANANA BALL thing that is on ESPN 2 right now is a train wreck.
Do I want to know what this is?
Barking Mad To Run
My run this morning from Thousand Oaks YMCA. Planning on 3 easy miles after my very hilly run on Tuesday. However, lke a wandering dog, lol, I saw a road I had not been down before - 'wonder where that goes?" - and so went exploring. Ended up doing a couple of fair-sized hills and 3.42 miles. Took me a while as I walked a bit more on the hills.
Route: Went down Henderson Pass; turned right onto Shadow Cliff Road and went exploring in this neigborhood I had not been in before. Shadow Cliff took me out to Heimer Road and it seem like I was on Heimer FOREVER. Finally stopped and asked one of the residents how the heck do I get back to Henderson Pass? I wanted to keep going forward cuz I am stubborn and have this thing about not gong back the way I came out, lol - unless it's a race. So on I went until I found the street the guy told me to take and that FINALLY got me back to Henderson Pass, just down from a riding stables place, with a big sign on it "LEARN TO RIDE." Finally I kne where I was, lol, and back to the Y I went, straight up Henderson Pass. Got delayed - and forgot to stop my watch, so my run-time shows longer than it actually was - when I stopped to clear off some cardboard boxes that were out in the road right in the middle of the lanes; don't want any traffic accidents happening! Finally got back to the Y, with my last mile almost non-stop, Nice to get back to the Y in the A/C, it was pretty humid out. Sat cooling down in the Y's A/C and drinking some Gatorade Zero.
All-in-all, aside from being a wandering doggie, lol, a pretty good outing.

Did an extra run tonight that isn’t on the C25K. 99 degrees. Did my first full nonstop mile of the year.
