I am in shorts year round
I’m pretty close! But I am no doubt pushing it more than you. My first winter here was shorts all the way through; since then there have been a small handful of pants days each winter.
I am in shorts into the upper 20s, for races anyway.
I won't break out the tights/pants this fall until the windchill gets into the 30s. And that's for runs of an hour or less.
I chicken out every time it goes below 45, and then after 3-5 miles I'm wishing I had worn shorts
That's why you dress for the middle of the run, not the beginning, n00b.
All I know is there are few things I enjoy more than running in 35 degrees.

That was me!
Can't wait for tights season.
I can't wait to run outside every day in shorts or otherwise, actually.

I can’t remember not wearing shorts for a race, except for this time.
The cooler mornings are bittersweet for me because they bring darkness, which I loathe. But, if it's gonna get dark sooner and for longer at least it's cooler to run in.
PS, I am absolutely over running in warm temps. That shit can bite it!
Well, I love a forum memory challenge so here it goes: a 5k in February 2015?
Lol, I can do that with my upper body, but my legs..... I always want to have them warm. I'll give it a try this year, but I doubt I can make it down to the 30 temps...
Wow you are good! I could not have told you what year, I had to check my log. It was on Super Bowl Sunday, in Novi, MI. My last winter in MI incidentally (i. e. my last winter). You can imagine how much I miss it. MTA: 20 degrees with windchill in single digits IIRC. Three shirts, and 2 layers of compression shorts under the pants.
