Go figure

    Your line about not looking at the Garmin until you got to 10.5, and then it said 10.16, cracked me up.  That's something we've all experienced.  Those last few miles must have hurt like heck.  Still, you didn't stop, you didn't walk, and you kept on going as best you could.  In the end, you actually ran a half time that tons of people would kill to have.

     

    There's nothing wrong with running a race on the training that you did.  It does sound like you want more though.  Have you tried setting training goals as opposed to racing goals?  Like I want 5 runs this week, or 2 quality workouts, or anything really.  I find that can really help me get out there door on a daily basis.  Good luck!
