I thought my 2 off weeks would have tanked my st deviation.

Well, you were once as low as 6.6% and now at 11.3%, so that's kind of tanking. Being at 0.68 to average and 0.76 does not give nearly as much impact as a zero. Wcrunner2 is now withing a couple percent of you for the lowest StdDev5%.
5k 23:48.45 (3/22); 4M 31:26 (2/22); 5M 38:55 (11/23); 10k 49:24 (10/22); 10M 1:29:33 (2/24); Half 1:48:32 (10/22); Marathon 4:29:58 (11/23)Upcoming races: Scotch Plains 5k, 6/12; Firecracker 4-miler, 7/4
My ranking is dropping like a boulder. Not a stone but a big assed boulder. I'm hoping if I can improve my std Dev that it will retaliate.
You’ve got a ways to go, I can barely even see you from down here!
My SD is so huge from the swings between 50-70mpw and zero; I’m honestly not sure whether running more or less would be better for my SD at this point.

If you really want to know, I can tell you how to set up a spreadsheet that will give you the optimum mileage to run, but somehow, I don't think you want this game dictating your weekly mileage.
You are correct!
Week 23 - Sorry for the delay; I was mostly offline yesterday. Looks like LRB's tough week resulted in some changes to the StdDev points and overall rankings.
Are we there, yet?
I'm guessing the smoke impacted a lot of us.
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K, 9:11:09 06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.
I had a lower than usual total due to the smoke, missing two days and running shorter on another. Even now our air quality is somewhat affected and I still smell smoke every once in a while, but not enough to hold me back any more.
Week 24 - A little bit of movement in the standings. Still some very close contests going on where people are less than 10 points apart.

I've changed my goal for the year (25mpw) and hope that helps keep me more consistent.

Week 25 - Not a lot has changed this week.
Thanks, Fred.
Looks like I closed the gap to Lauren by 1 point last week and the difference in the Standard Dev from 0.07% to 0.03%.
Started running at age 60.
AG 60-64 PR - 5K 25:45, 10K 53:28, HM 1:57:39, Marathon 4:32:09
AG 65-69 PR - 5K 26:11, HM 2:02:39, Marathon 5:04:47
Upcoming race: Four on the 4th 7/4/24 maybe.
Week 26 - The second-lowest mileage week this year (by one mile), no doubt in part due to Baboon taking a rest after his ironman. Quickadder's higher mileage has hit his StdDev. sdWhiskers andwcrunner2 switched places in the StdDev standings but not the overall, though the gap between the two narrowed. There were some other changes in standings mid-pack too.

Sort of! Four more weeks to go. Looking at these standings though, I'll probably only drop one or two spots before I can run again.

Quickadder's higher mileage has hit his StdDev.
This may be true in future weeks, but my StdDev actually improved last week and is now better than Lauren's. Closed the gap on the leader from 83 points to 58.
