Dave - you were right. I ran 4½ easy with my RP this morning and the abductor wasn't an issue. Hopefully, it stays that way when I try to go a bit further tomorrow.

Happy Boxing Day everyone!
Good news Fred!
Got home from Eugene yesterday evening, it was a quick trip but always good to see DS. Driving on Christmas Day there wasn’t a whole lot of traffic, which was nice. Although the entire 5ish hour drive was in the rain, which kind of sucks.
I plan to hit the track shortly for my standard 5k race week mini-workout, since I decided to do a parkrun on Saturday.

Trying to get the motivation to go out in the fog.
Fred, that is an odd injury spot. Sometimes it loosens enough to not be a problem, other times it feels like you need to concentrate on moving your leg because it's painful to walk or run normally.

Whatcha say there, Dickie Runsalot!!! I ran 7 miles this morning, and for the first time in six weeks I felt zero pain was not sick. Feels great to be fully functional again! I need to stay on top of the at-home rehab now.

Happy Boxing Day. I'm staying far far far far away from stores today because Boxing Day in Canada is equivalent to your Black Friday.
5 miles for me today.

I plan to hit the track shortly for my standard 5k race week mini-workout,
Done—8 miles total with 3x800m + 3x400m. Kind of a sluggish warmup, but once I got into the workout I was pretty happy with where the paces ended up.
Almost 7 miles, that included a steaming pile of crap workout. Signed up for a HM in 8 weeks and decided to attempt to follow Hanson's. Supposed to do 12 x 400 but barely made it through 8 reps. And that was at a pace barely slower than HMP. And with some walk recoveries, plus walking the last mile back to my house Feeling like what's the point.
Are we there, yet?
Those can be really tough if you aren't used to running them regularly. When my club began track workouts every spring, we usually started with 6 x 400 and spent 3-4 weeks building up to 12 x 400. We also started at a slowed pace and eased into our target pace.
2024 Races:

05/11 - D3 50K 05/25 - What the Duck 12-Hour

Thanks, that makes me feel a bit better.
