Hi all. Had fun last night. The Cubs are in town, so I got together five other former Chicagoans from my running group and went to the game. Cubbie nation turned out in force, and we even won 4-1. Well worth being up way past my bedtime.
I’ll get out and run something in a little bit, likely to be a slow recovery after yesterday’s LR workout.

3 miles before all day Kid baseball tournament.
Dave--we watched a little of that game last night and they kept showing a car fire on the freeway. Was it smokey?

Ran six miles with my RP for the first time in a couple weeks (he was away).

At one point we started to smell smoke, then saw a big black cloud of black coming up from somewhere outside the stadium. Of course we had no idea what it was, and I was pretty concerned we’d be dealing with it the rest of the game. But presumably they put it out and fortunately it didn’t last too long.

Dave, that sounds like a fun night.
I ran 3.15 miles on the track this morning as my last pre-Boston shakeout. It felt like a slog but was actually a fast run. Now I'll spend the rest of the day relaxing. Got to be up at 4:00 AM to catch my bus!

6 with 4x4 minutes hard effort.
Good luck tomorrow Baboon!
Do people get any sleep on such an early bus ride, or is everyone too keyed up for the race? The two times I took an early bus from Giants stadium to the NYCM start, I'm pretty sure everyone was wide awake.
