My sick week continues, although, dare I say, I feel the slightest bit better today. I went to the walk in clinic last night at DW's request when I told her I woke up Thursday night and had a hard time breathing. I hit the mother lode at the clinic when the RN who took care of me was a Boston Marathon finish line volunteer medic. She tested me for covid, flu, and strep, and they were all negative. She said I most likely have a nasty upper respiratory infection that is hitting me hard because it came on during/after my marathon when my body was already vulnerable. I felt bad going there and taking up her time, but she said she knows runners don't complain or seek care unless it's really bad. Heh....true.
Anyway, I suggested to DW that I might try jogging tomorrow but then she gave me the stink eye at that idea, so I'll hold off on that another day.

We skipped the Xmas party at Mary's house (marymary611 from RWOL) cause hubby has a stomach bug. I made three bottles of coquito I made for the party, so I will have to drink that myself. Such a sacrifice!
That's no fun. We should probably check on ours, I think it's close to 20 years old....
Those things always break on a weekend or the least convenient time.

The plumber put a water detector in the pan about 5 years ago, but that didn’t go off. I noticed water in our brand new hard woods that was installed in August.
We had one flood our basement when we were away for the weekend several years ago. We ended up having to replace the carpets but there wasn't a lot of other damage, fortunately.
We have no basement, they’re less common around here. The good part about that is that furnace & water heater are in the garage, so less chance of water damage.

My flood in the other house was on the second floor (we didn't have a basement in the prior house here). But now with a sump pump, we have a regular and a battery operated one and a backup. LOL.
