Warmer than yesterday but a tad less humid with a light breeze, so it wasn't quite as bad as yesterday.  8 miles done early.

I did some light stretching this morning which is the first type of anything I have done this week.  I've got a ticket to see Oppenheimer at 11:45 this morning, and that is my excitement for the day.  Barbie tomorrow, maybe.

That was horrible. I walked more than I wanted to but I even had asthma issues during the race. Start was 74F/70DP, end was 76/70DP, full blown sun, no shade. Also, this shit is not easy to run in:

Docket, aside from the heat, was the race also on bricks?

Thoughts & prayers for your bladder holding out for 3 hours. I recommend going in dehydrated.

Docket—ugh. Right now, that could still get you a race point though!

The weather will be considerably better for my HM tomorrow—low/mid 50s! I’m in fairly decent shape physically and it would be a good opportunity to crush it, except my lungs are definitely not fully recovered. Feeling it even in my 4 mile easy shakeout this morning. But I plan to go all-out and see what happens, because why not.

Yes the whole white River and the Indy River Walk are like this. This is the course they used for all the pandemic races in 2021. Sucks. Didn’t wear my Nike Next% because I wasn’t planning on racing it but I sure needed some bounce. Hitting this was like hitting … cement lol.

7 miles that felt like 17, oof

Humid weather makes me very grumpy.
