    Holy crap Carolina.

Well Oregon was recently leading by the same halftime score, so anything can happen, right?

    Also, Frank Reich.

No team in the Divisional Playoff Round ever has overcome a 31-point deficit.

But it'd be cool to see things get interesting.  A 58-0 game would be cool too.

The 2016 TCS New York City Marathon (formally the ING New York City Marathon) is one of the greatest and most sought after running events on the planet! The Running Room and Dream Travel are proud to bring you guaranteed entries into this premier event!

So, let me get this straight: qualiying times for NYCM are tougher than or Boston, but there is a lottery, and you can also go through  some travel agency and get guaranteed entry?

I checked the prices and for a 4 night stay, the guaranteed entry + hotel price is comparable to what it's going to cost me for 4 nights in Boston, and I'll be staying in Somerville in an underfurnished apartment.

Only for foreigners.  My goal this year is to qualify.  Only 16 seconds to shave off.

The NYCM qualifying standards were changed in 2015 to make it "easier" to get in (easier being relative, obviously).

I need to shave 39 seconds off my half time to qualify, as opposed to the 3:39 I would've needed to shave off prior to the change.

Yes, they are tougher but you can get a guaranteed entry that way.  Not many people can say they qualified for NY.  But NYCM is one of the few marathons I recommend to do once in your lifetime.

            Barking Mad To Run

Late run/walk this morning at Randolph Air Force Base, started a bit after 10 a.m.    Sunny,  a bit windy, and around 42 degrees with a 'feels like' of 39, a bit chillier than yesterday.  Thought I might have overdressed for my outing, but when I was running into that wind, I was glad that I had worn a light base layer under my short-sleeved running shirt.   Was feeling pretty good once I got out there so decided to keep going for a while.  Ended up with 5 miles in 55:58.  Not speedy, by any means, but 2 minutes faster for me than my last 5 mile outing when I did the Buffalo Hump 5 miler.  I was happy with that.

8 Easy, and only 48.7 for the week. But the worse of my cold is gone, so I need to pick up the training a bit.

You can qualify with a half?

MTA: I checked and it seems like you can! I would need 3:05 or 1:28 to qualify. That won't happen this year, but is not unthinkable in a year or two, if I keep at it.

                    Yes, 1:28 for 45 - 49.

Or Seattle decided TO play in the second half.
