    The calves are perhaps the easiest area to foam roll because there's not a lot of body weight on them say like there is for your hamstrings or IT bands. But I wouldn't be in any rush to foam roll somthing that's in pain. Wait until that subsides a bit lest you go and screw something up.

      And I'm planning on getting a massage sometime in the next week or so, I have a gift certificate I've been saving for such a time as this.  Both are better though, and Mr. Crampycalf feels about equal to the other side now.  Seems like a good sign.  My hip has a date with the foam roller tonight though.  I've done too much sitting the past 3 days...
