Are we there, yet?

Well, apparently I stopped 4 times at 49, which is divisible by 7 so yes?

    Not merely divisible by 7, it's 7 x 7.

Chicago is all city. No suburbs or residences but a few.

If you're judging that by what you see on the marathon course, you haven't seen most of the city.  Lots of residential areas and neighborhoods.  It also has real suburbs if you travel outside the official city limits.  I grew up in one of them and my first two jobs were in the city, one in the Loop and one in a residential area.

Does Chicago get boring? Is that a stupid question to ask?

LRB, I would have taken a RD but since I'm part of the 2019 miles game I feel a sense of responsibility to my teammates. They're probably a majority reason of why I'm still running with any consistency, lol.

          Super important question:

Have any of us run in the Nike Pegasus shoes, and have we liked them? (not turbo)

another trip to the vet today. Gracie apparently has a very resistant strain of staph infection that is not susceptible to any oral antibiotic. I'm glad I've been forcing those giant pills down her throat twice a day for no reason.

Met up with URP for 10 miles tonight. We ran into another guy who we haven't run with before but know from a lot of the local races and ran with him for about 7 miles of it.

Depends what kind of day you’re having.

I assume you mean the race. The city, no.

Many years ago, so they may be very different now.  They were serviceable but I prefer a lighter, more flexible shoe, hard to find and still have something that will hold up well in an ultra.  Currently running in Brooks Glycerin 17, Saucony Everun Ride ISO, and NB 880 V9.

Cooler day here (77) with a brisk wind so my 11 miles weren't too bad. I still had trouble with energy, but I could have gone farther.

Hmm, I thought you were supposed to run after weights, not before.

Depends which activity you care more about. I run first bc I'm using weights for overall health, not to seriously get stronger.

I go to the gym and lift weights first, then run. Mainly because I want to be out of the gym by 4:30 am.

                      It's where you belong.

Meanwhile, I most likely won't crack 250, which is kind of bizarre given where I am on the schedule.

I don't know, I'm at the point where the individual quality runs are more important than overall mileage so I'm not going to worry about it.

you still have 5 miles on me

Chicago seems like it could be really fun.  Are there any urban parts?

                          yes quite a few lol

There is so much to see and party during the Chicago Marathon, it never becomes boring.  Didn't you see my last RR?  Mexicantown, Chinatown, Greektown, etc.  Lots to celebrate there.

I like them more than the normal version of the 4% (flyknit?).
