no run again; left hip thing still there  although right hammy tendon continues to improve  with little or no running .... did an hour of upper body work and I'm feeling it now.

busy week for me at work as most everyone else here is on vacation

      Ugh, hope it's nothing major.

I have the 16 miles I moved to today.

didn't seem like a big deal a couple weeks ago...but it continues to linger

        good luck on the 16!

Unplanned rest day, was suppose to be just a 30 min pool mix, the wife used my lane reservation instead.

‘Delayed onset side effectS of vaccine shot’, or getting something else???

Started yesterday right after the run; went home and immediately grill a 12oz NY strip and made a box of wild rice...running suppresses my appetite and I don’t eat for 4-5 hours or more after a run.
Lethargic, spent the rest of the day watching tv, normally shop at 2-3 or more stores [wife doesn’t cook or shop] and do small chores, not yesterday. Ordered takeout for dinner....Upper left arm felt a bit sore and ‘head oddness, not quite a headache. Same for today.

Insatiable hunger is the first sign I’m getting sick; normally i don’t   breakfast  and don’t eat lunch on work days till 3pm but this morning I  stopped at McDonald’s for two sausage muffins at 8am on the way to work, and I wish I had bought three😐

Who knows...you're the guinea pig...you tell us!  Hope you feel better as the day progresses.  Weird that you get hungry when you are getting sick.  I tend to stop eating.

Re: eating, the scale read 149 this morning.  It's been at least a couple of years since I dipped blow 150.  I can thank all of the extra exercise this year for that.  I certainly cannot credit my diet.

If I wasn’t working today I’d be having spaghetti and meatball now ...

I have figured out a descriptive for my ‘not quite a headache ‘, it feels like I’m wearing a real snug fitting football helmet, included the odd extra weight of the helmet sensation

Hubby's friend who was in the ICU with Covid is recovering. He even talked to hubby on the phone for a few minutes.

                              how was the new HRM?

Nice. It just works. Wore it around the lower bicep, sensor on the inside of the arm (white skin, no hair), it doesn't bother me when I run, no hiccups whatsoever. But that was one run. I like it so far.

10 miles with 3x2k + 2x400m. Not quite where I wanted them to be for the first two reps (both 6:54), but better for #3 (6:42). And had enough left to hammer the 400s (6:10, 6:02).

Tied my streak PB at 220 days; previous one averaged 7.8 miles/day, this one is 9.3.
