Well the 10k PR I just set a few months ago was at 6:49 pace, so I'm skeptical of 6:53 for HM. I promise to try to run fast though.

It's still days away but it feels sooner to me since it feels like a Friday, so now I can ask this very important question: do I wear my magic shoes or a pair of 1400s??
It would be tragic to not run in magic.
1400s, because anything less would be uncivilized.
What was tragic was the time I ran this same race in shoes that were magic and on a broken foot. (I also broke 1:40, FINALLY, but I'd have preferred to break nothing if they had to come part and parcel...)

HA! No. I ran a very disappointing HM in those, but then, I ran nothing but disappointing races in them. The magic shoes are hoarded PureConnects... until this year, every single HM PR I'd ever run was in those, and every HM I ran in them was a PR.
Then you are more prepared than I am.

I have a marathon Sunday and here I am at the ER with a swollen foot from the fall. But hubby wanted to check for DVT and here I am, wasting the ER staff time and getting a tetanus shot due to the fall and no clots.
