Half Crazy K 2.0

Baboon. I think the run portion of the tri is fine. Where the controversy came in is that folks would run a race not in one of the 4 individual point categories and then use a portion (so take 10k out of a 10 mile race, marathon from 50k, etc). Didn't make a lot of sense to me because you sacrifice team race miles for the possible individual point.

Found an amazing LMT that is also a runner. She seems bat shit crazy, but she loosens up my muscles. Hoping she can take care of the scar tissue in my hamstring that has destroyed me as a runner for half a decade.

      Personal Bests:

      800M - 2:38 (5/28/13) | 1 Mile -5:54 (5/28/13) | 3K - 11:55 (12/29/12) | 2M - 13:00 (12/1/12) | 5K - 20:00 (4/12/13) | 13.1M - 1:37:24 (2/3/13)

I always feel weird about winning race points off of my triathlon runs, because technically the run is just part of the race.  I don't count my Ironman runs when I tell people I've done 20 marathons.  Maybe I should.....Marathon Maniacs and 50 Staters count them.

Maybe it's different for IMs but DH has run a bunch of sprint triathlon where the run has never been 5k as advertised. Usually 2.8-3 miles

          Yeah that's not cool.  "10K" means a 10K race.

My Ironman runs have all been a little over 26.2 miles like a proper marathon, but any other triathlon seems to be short on the advertised run distance, while at the same time being over on the swim distance.

In unrelated news, I made a pb&j sandwich for breakfast today and used up the last of both jars.  That never happens!!

Same with my paralegal. She was the only one in the house that tested positive and she is fully boosted.

I can't remember if I posted this hete or somewhere else. With our work cases, there have been multiple people who don't test positive until day 4 or 5. Prior to going back to required masking, technically you were supposed to mask for ANY symptoms,  but that wasn't happening.

People seem to have amnesia about Covid now. It never existed...

Which is sad since we still have 1k people per week dying from Covid.

7 miles that were very low energy.

I did wfh on Monday and hated almost every minute of it  Glad to be back onsite the rest of the time. My current routine has me in the office like 8-3, then I get Kid from school to wherever he needs to be, then usually take meetings from home with Japan/China/India 4-6pm. It seems like many of my equivalent level and higher colleagues do something similar.

Nice! We actually just bought a new jar of PB...our Covid stockpile finally ran out.

No required masking here. People seem to be good about wearing one for a few days post flights. It's also been awhile since we've had to tell someone to go home because they're sick. Coworkers in my circle at least seem to be really good about wfh with any symptoms. Of course, my job easily allows for that. DH is constantly working with sick coworkers, because there's no wfh. Shockingly, he hasn't gotten sick with anything from anyone at work during the Covid Times.

At my job, HR keeps sending out emails reminding people to work from home when they have symptoms and then senior managers continue coming into the office coughing, sniffling, and sneezing. Who's going to pay attention to HR emails when senior manager obviously doesn't?

I heard 19 people were sent home sick the Friday before Thanksgiving.  Since it is a school,  anyone whose job involves direct contact with kids can't work from home or is limited (therapists can catch up on notes for example).

ETA, even with all the cases, there is no longer any contact tracing and it's up to people to tell coworkers if they test positive.  My direct report sent me a picture of her positive test, so that one I knew. Others it's by context--usually an out of office email for 5 days. I'd be telling everyone if I test positive because I'd want the same.
