My intention was 10 but knew I would hit 40 miles at 8 so that is what I did. That gives me my first 40 mile week since the start of this season's misfortunes back in March. Finished in 83F + 73F, FFS. Ran it on the trail so it was partially covered or I would have melted into a pile of shit out in full sun.

The comeback trail, baby! Keep it up!
18 for me. Paces were faster than intended, but pretty happy with them; after warming up for 5 miles, ended up in the 8:20-8:30 range.
Note to self: try some water and maybe a couple gels FFS. Did my usual roll out of bed & run with nothing, but got kind of rough near the end. Fortunately we have nothing like the dew points you guys are dealing with - not much humidity here - but still pretty warm & sunny.
63.2 miles for the week.

I haven't seen FreeSoul around. I hope she, or Dorian, are not sick.
I've seen her posting on another forum I frequent.
Woohoo, Dave! I can't wait to see the great BQ you will earn yourself with all this strong training you have been doing.
(mental note: must run another 3 miles tonight to make it to 64 and beat Dave's weekly mileage by a fraction...)

Tell her she has to report here as well!
And... you mean to say that there are other worlds outside of this one?

No. I was too tired to go to a crowded store to get a fan after running miles and miles in this intolerable heat.

'Morning. Cutback week coming up. I've averaged in the low 50's the last 10 weeks. Not bad. With all the racing and biking and swimming added in, I could really use the cutback. Then, it's back into marathon training.
<3
THAT is brilliant! I order all my running clothes online but I never think of ordering objects like tools, etc... online. Not sure why...
I order everything online. Going into stores sucks.
Soooo .. cutback week is what, 48 miles, some of them easy? Plus a few dozen bike miles and several hundred laps in the pool?

Well let's not get ahead of ourselves....still a ways to go, and still can't imagine holding BQ pace for 26.2. Especially the way the later miles felt today.
And if you do NOT beat my weekly mileage - that would be news!
Thank you for the *F temp.
The way things have been, I think you mean "Thank you for the F****** temp."
