I need to work on the way my altered spreadsheet does the StdDev calculation as it seems a zero week has a huge impact. I'll find time for that this week, but wanted to post the scores even if the StdDev is off a bit for those who ran zero last week or this week. The only change since last week was accepting Dan's offer to set his goal at 10 miles/week.
5k 23:48.45 (3/22); 4M 31:26 (2/22); 5M 38:55 (11/23); 10k 49:24 (10/22); 10M 1:29:33 (2/24); Half 1:48:32 (10/22); Marathon 4:29:58 (11/23)Upcoming races: Running is Back 10k, 5/12; Greta's Run 5k, 5/19
Week 3
Dave's original prediction of Wolvmar being in a position to score a lot of points may be coming true. Check out HCK's standard deviation.
Keep in mind the standard deviation points are having an outsized impact right now. The maximum will never be more than 100 points, while runners' miles points will keep going up. Someone who runs their average every week will wind up with 510 miles points and if they get the 100 standard deviation points, the standard deviation will be worth 16% of their total score while right now 77% of HCK's score is from the standard deviation.
Week 4
Nice to see myself going up for once.
A new leader (BerthaSlayer), Docket_Rocket moving up again, and Wolmar's running points beginning to overcome others' StdDev points.
Nice thanks!

I will enjoy the lead while I can.

Wolvmar seized first place while the battle for second remains tight; BerthaSlayer keeping a firm grip on the StdDev title.

I like "seized" makes it sounds like I really went after it! My running year is off to a good start but that usually just means there's an injury around the corner to derail it. If so, I just hope it waits until after Boston.
Looks like I'm playing for next year
:highfive;
Wait, we’ll get the top draft picks!

That's part of the idea of the game. Look at it in the long term. Year after year.
:highfive; Wait, we’ll get the top draft picks!
has never helped the Detroit Lions. On the other hand, the Detroit Rams!
I'm struggling to retain this standard deviation title. I will take any win I can get.
