From RW: dog & owner run a 4:15 mile. I wonder if the dog is a bit of an advantage? Just thinking the dog may prevent the runner from fading in the middle part. And you get a little pull from the pup.

If a greyhound would actually run for longer than a 1/2 mile, they would smoke the mile race with top speeds of 30-40mph.
However, I don't think a dog pulling me would have made me any faster. More like, the dog would be annoyed I was slowing him down. lol
My dog and I could probably run that if a Kodiak bear was chasing us!!
I am more impressed that the dog did not snap his neck by veering off course. lol
