Do you need a 1:28 half or a 1:32? (per your age in Nov2017?)
I'll be 49. I haven't checked yet but thought it was 1:28.
Yep. Only if you were turning 50 before Nov 2017 would you get a 1:32... in which case I'd come to Indy and run it with you!
But, I guess you have to run a 1:28. And before Dec 31, 2016
Or, alternatively, you can run a 3:05 marathon...

Hmmm....I could probably pull that off with one solid training block.
<3
Great. Can you take my bib with you? lol
But only if this solid training block takes place prior to Dec 31, 2017...

Have you nothing good to say? .
I just don't know what I'm capable of right now, so I'll hold off on plans for that FE. For now...
Super B****
Crud. I might need a miracle to be there next year. Say blue, when's the deadline for an NYCM qualifying time for next year to be run?

How the hell would I know, I won't ever do that!!
chasing the impossible
because i never shut up ... i blog
It's YOUR marathon!
Doesn't help me much, I don't see 1:32 anywhere in my future. Looks like it's 1:36 for 55, which would make my best shot 2020. I have honestly never thought about NYCM, but maybe because I was never close. And if Boston race logistics don't look like enough of a PITA, it seems NYCM is way, way worse. (Sour grapes much?)
Dave
But I DO NOT LIKE IT.
Yeah, I never thought about Boston until I was close to qualifying. And then when I ran a HM time 16 seconds slower than the NYCM-Q time, I started thinking about qualifying for that one. But like Boston, I didn't really want to run it. I just wanted to qualify...
In addition to the logistics, there's also an entrance fee of something like $255

Are you planning to do any HMP workouts?
Your PR is pretty close
Ha, yeah I forgot about that. I guess Boston is a bargain at $180.
The entrance fee is a tiny drop in the bucket when you are also paying for plane tickets and over priced hotel rooms
But the experience is priceless... maybe...

Of course hotels in NYC are not exactly cheap either.
