Former Bad Ass
Congratulations! Following your race in FB was amazing! I didn't even want to go to bed to be able to stalk you some more, haha!
You are an inspiration to me. Your drive, your energy, your positivism, and your ability to convince my husband that a 50 miler is not that bad by showing up the day after in heels and looking rested, haha! I hope one of these days I am able to run a marathon or ultra with you. Next time you need a pacer, let me know. I would love to do it.
Congrats again! How are you feeling now?

WOW! What an amazing story and a beautiful RR. If you hadn't said it, I would have never guessed you were introverted and socially awkward. Your story reads more as a 100 mile relationship with so many people with whom you crossed paths. I loved the photos and you looked upbeat throughout ... even the grilled cheese one. I have a friend who will be running Leadville this year and I'm seriously considering helping on his crew. Your story just shows the incredible importance of support in an ultra.
Train smart ... race smarter.

Simply amazing what the human body is capable of with enough determination. Outstanding job!
I think you're absolutely right about kind words being able to change the world.

Impressive indeed. Much respect.
Awesome on so many levels.

- there are so many words that could describe this RR and your race and you did a great job on the race and the report.
My sister is doing her first 50 miler this summer. I am going to share your report with her.
Keep up the solid work.

Awesome job! When you talked about just keeping moving, it reminded me of what my ultra buddy calls "RFM," which stands for repetitive forward motion. That's easier said then done when dealing with the kind of pain that ultras bring on, and to push forward like you did must be incredibly rewarding. I can definitely understand why you feel changed after testing yourself like that.
That's tough that you're going to be venturing out on your own without a coach now, but I'm sure you know that you have the skills and tools to get yourself to where you need to be. After completing this race, pushing yourself, even in training, seems like it should be a total after-thought.
Again, congratulations on earning your buckle, and good luck in just 5 short weeks!

Wow! I laughed, I cried, I was inspired, I was in awe. Best RR ever. What a journey both physically and mentally. It sounds like an ultra really tests every fiber of your being. I love the pics and the personal thank you's and pats on the back. Congrats, you totally earned that buckle!

Wow...outstanding. Congrats!
I'm happy, hope you're happy too...
Do ultras usually do the buckle thing for finisher awards?
Wickedly Average
I can't read the whole post right now - between long shifts at work. But I followed your progress on their web site, and as I commented on Factbook, your result is utterly incredible. It's just an awesome acheivement to cover that kind of distance, and to run continuously for such a long period of time.
I promise that I'll give the report a thorough read - I really want to get a feel for how the run went.
Congratulations again on a great run, Katrina!
