I ran 9 miles easy on hills early this morning, then got in a ParkRun with a massive negative split thanks to it taking a while to get my legs moving again after the 90-minute break between runs.

3.6 on the treadmill. Not in the modd to deal with heat. Now I have to go pick up my car from the dealership. Again. Only took 4 months of ownership with this one to get the attention of the service manager. I hope he at least listens to my concerns. Every time (all 6) that it's been there in 4 months, it's for an issue. I call, tell them the problem & make an appointment (for example, flat tire needs patch or replacement). Show up, why are you here, car only has 700 miles, too early for first service And have that same conversation with the check in person & the service advisor. The 4 most rececnt visits have gone diagnosis issue & order parts, then come back for part tinstallation. Giving them my name, car info & saying the parts you ordered came in is not enough for them. The service manager told me they arer instructed to get all the details, well, this completely makes you look like no one listens. If they would say, I see you are here to fix your tire/install parts, do you have any other concerns, would go a long way to making me feel they listen.

Fred, that sounds tough to have the 90 minutes between runs. Just enough time to cool off a bit and then you have to go again.

So, my coworker and I figured my back injury wasn't the glute but the lat. I cupped the lat last night, voila no back pain this morning. I am still waking up whenever I turn to the left as that psoas or hip is still not happy but hoping it gets better as the back no longer hurts or gets less inflamed.

I have 8 later. I need to work this weekend to finalize my opening statement and other trial things. I get less interruptions at home than at work so might as well do it this weekend.

Crushed my run today. Planned a LR workout, but was undecided about exactly what. The woman from my running group I ran that half with, and finished 30 sec ahead of me, had a workout from her coach. It was 4 warmup, 3x3 miles with 0.5 mile recovery, 2 miles cooldown. The 3 mile segments were supposed to be 7:10, 7:00, 6:50. I thought that was ridiculous, especially that 3rd rep. But I figured I’d give it a go, not worry too much about hitting the paces, and bail when necessary. Ended up doing better than I expected: 7:15, 7:08, 7:03, with the last mile at 6:52. Overall average for the 16 miles was 7:49.

And speaking of trials—I got called for jury duty a while back. I ended up having to reschedule due to a work trip, so now it’s Monday. I called in to get my instructions, hoping I’d get a pass, but unfortunately I need to report. Hopefully I can get dismissed.

Picked up my car, dorve acros town to Wegman's (fancy grocery store for those not familiar), got within 2 miles of home and the noise returned. So basically put groceries away and took the car back to the dealerrship.

5 mile jog and 3.5 mile hike.  Looks like I'm a GO for the Dallas Marathon Dec 10.  Looking forward to that!

Nice! I don’t remember hearing you talk about it, when did this come up?

Have you been to Dallas before? I lived there for two years. Here are the tourist attractions:

                  1. JFK assassination—stand on the grassy knoll, see the book depository (now museum), drive over the “X” they painted on the road where it happened.
                  2.

Really there’s not much there for a visitor. With some places you say “nice place to visit, wouldn’t want to live there”; there it’s the opposite. Anyway it was OK living there when I did, 20 years ago; I certainly wouldn’t want to live anywhere in TX now.

Wife and her cousin like to do a race in the south around that time every year and they wanted something besides Space Coast.  BMW being the Dallas sponsor sold DW on it since she loves hers.  We'll register tomorrow.  We can get $40 hotel rooms with our Hilton hookup.  I'm a Red Wings fan and they're in town to play the Stars that Monday night so we may do that too.

Are the Cowboys in town? I'm assuming that is ridciculously expensive, but would be interesting to see the Jerry Dome in person. The whole complext looked massive the year they were on Hard Knocks.

Weather should be better than Space Coast, I hope. Dan is there in Dallas and maybe he can chime in!

Tonight is front row for Joan Jett and Night Ranger in Oklahoma.

HC - how frustrating. When does the Lemon Law apply? Seems like you ought to be at that point.

From what I've read this varies state to state. The MD Attorney General's website had some really good info and templates for the letter to send to the car manufacturer. Full lemon is 4 unsuccessful repairs or car is unavailable for 30 days for the same issue and has less than 18,000 miles. I can actually send the first letter now since it's been 2 unsuccessful lrepairs. I'm going to see what the service manager says tomorrow morning and will decide if I am sending the first letterr to Subaru.

I need to pull all the car paperwork together so I can figure out a total for that car. I got a 20233 at the close out of that model year and it seems the 2024s are higher. I know that if it gets to the lemon law replace/refund, I'd probably need to pay a little more to replace, plus they do factor in loss of value on the car (to an extent, can be up to 15%).

The only part I am a little hazy on is since it's unclear what the actual problem is, does any of this apply. .I'm leaning towards there is something off structurally. When they'sve done work, the metallic rattling goes away for about 50 miles and then shakes loose again. And for a structural issue, I don;t even know if the dealerrship is equipped to handle it.
