Former Bad Ass
Good luck. The gold star giver just dngaf.

Damaris
lol
Nice colorful pic there D.
Are we there, yet?
I think it is smart to run a few 16 miles long runs in prep for a HM. You're gonna need the endurance to hold 6:50 for 13.1 miles.
There are a whole lot of other factors that come into play that can make 16 mile LRs an optional luxury rather than a necessity. Overall mileage for an extended period as well as quantity and quality of speed work can easily offset that. There's more than one way to get to the final result. Which way is best for you is something only experience and experimentation can determine.
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K 05/25 - What the Duck 12-Hour
06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.
5 miles. 20 degrees outside and windy but sunny
No more marathons
This sounds like a Hudson workout!
Ha - he did sign up - didn't he.
Boston 2014 - a 33 year journey
Lordy, I hope there are tapes.
He's a leaker!
Ah. Well it sucked. But yes, I've been confabbing with maggadoodle (bluesky's coach) for about a month now. This was the first week of workouts though as I wanted to log some miles on their calendar first, to provide a reference point to my training tendencies. Not that that really matters but it's how I wanted to do it. Anyway, that'll be another month comped to you at some point. 👍

That's what I did too. I had about 6 weeks on Final Surge before I pulled the switch to go live.
Gave Maggie something to base my first few workouts on.
Yes, but she doesn't want to know. She wants to be told
Maybe DR's nice colorful outfit will catch his attention.
Maybe this group's name should be changed to:
Beginners, Hudson's athletes and beyond!

It was Pfitz for the longest then Hansons so it's fitting, although our numbers back then dwarfs what they are now so not really. lol
Yeah it will be nice to run outside for the first time since Sunday.
Truth.
Dave
Not in the club. If I have ever done a Hudson's workout, it was purely by accident.

Even better!
6.5 with 2 x 15 min at HM pace. Dammit now I need to rethink my HM plan cause I am not using Hudson as a guide. I'm using that that other H dude.....
