Former Bad Ass
On the treadmill yes.
Pffft, anyone can do that. Outside, like NOW! Come on!
Damaris
^^^ That was not an insult to the TM or TM runners. I meant anyone can do that when it's hot!!!!!!
I wouldn't run in that shit, I don't know how you do it.
Which is why I am running on the TM. Still 92F and 74 dewpoint and the trip to the car felt likeit was inside an oven.

Looks like I am in the minority here today and managed to actually run outside. 8 easy miles done. I got a few raindrops on me, and had I known that was going to happen, I certainly would have treadmilled.

race obsessed
If I could schedule a trip to Miami and get a ton of RW/RA peeps down there to race? Hell yeah I'd brave the heat and humidity.
(and I'd heckle LRB until he relented!)
Scotty,
When I come over here to visit my folks I can't believe I actually spent 14 years here...
DFW is a virtual desert compared I would imagine actually going where it was dry.
As far as racing in this... as long as we all have the same handicap it would be all good. (Except DR - cheater is already acclimated
In a 5k relay I would run a mile no problem.
Maybe, but then with only a mile we'd expect damn near a 5 min mile.
No shit, times 3...unless they were beer miles.
Ran 10 miles. Not according to plan, more like a chicken with no head, which is what I've been lately. 7x1600m (7:07, 7:02, 7:03. 7:04, 7:04, 7:16 and 7:11). The rests were 800m jog intervals. Average pace overall was 8:13. Completely useless workout. I'm not sure what I'm doing anymore...

Hi rainy dailies:
Rick - yuck, the belt for me today also
Free - you could always swim the really bad spots as cross training
Baboon - huzzah coffee and food
DaveP - also belting it
Lily - all that housework, scary!
D^2 - a light sprinkle at 50 isn't so bad, but downpours with high winds, not so much
Step - going home and napping was high on the list of temptations today, but meh.
D - the cable company fixing the cable is a big if
Jack - 100 degree tornados? Be safe
Scotty - great run
Zelanie - enjoy the good weather
OOTB - big mess, either way
Marjorie - enjoy pilates
B+ - you live 800m from work? Lucky
Hobbit - follow the yellow brick road
Sly - beware of gators. I am in for the beer race. Even if it's Miami in August.
8.72 with the last 20 minutes at GHMP on the mill.

Hahaha. I might have to drive down for the occasion since I am planning on being out of this hellhole soon.
They actually fixed the cable. Apparently, some idiot from Comcast went to fix someone else's cable and disconnected us. Da fuck.
11 miles on the TM. Watched Pacific Rim AND listened to music at the same time. I am surprised I am alive. I went outside at Mile 7 to see if it was bearable and went back in and hopped back on the TM. It was horrid (still is).
Mmmmm...beer
7.85 miles done, 60*, no rain, great run, smooth and easy, like buttah!
