Search on "Manhattan Crane Fire" and you'll see what I've been watching from my office window this morning.  We're a good 10 blocks away, but could clearly see large flames from time to time as well as copious amounts of black smoke.  Looks like the FDNY has put it out now, by spraying it from an adjacent building.

    SRD for me.

7 wirh 5x3min and 3x2 min. Pleasant morning,  probably last one this week.

        Fred, yikes, that's scary.

Baboon,  any reason for the rest week? Heal the toe?

Doctor's orders after "male sterilization."    This was supposed to be a month ago but I got bumped.

9 miles total with a light race-week workout: 6x800m w/200m recoveries + 3x200m. What made it light was targeting cruise interval pace, or about LT, instead of VO2max. Nailed the paces and felt good.

It was hard getting up this morning but I'm in the office. Pain is there and tightness is horrible (I feel like an old woman). I have 4 but not sure if I will try them.

ETA: Just as I said this I stood up because it's been an hour since I did that and now it feels worse for sitting too long. Like I got new pain, ha.

Rest day, ran too hard yesterday in the heat.

                It’s a good reminder that I’m 18 …..plus 50 ….plus 50 pounds

3 miles. Hadn't run in 2 weeks and it's fairly humid out there...so this felt as terrible as expected.

We landed at 4pm yesterday after having been up forever (I didn't sleep on either plane ride). Slept ok last night but feeling like a zombie at work right now. I may only make it until lunch time.

Lots of time on planes = lots of movies/shows watched:

                  John Wick 4 (good)

                  Ticket to paradise (expectedly poor)

                  A Man Called Otto (good)

Whitney Houston- I wanna dance with somebody (as expected)

Antman and Wasp: Quantumania (so awful)

full season of Quarterbacks (Netflix) (good)

Almost all of Jack Ryan season 4 (worse than the other seasons)

I sometimes have to remind myself of the same or very similar - I've managed to be only +25 pounds, but I'm two inches less tall than I was.

                      Started running at age 60.

Fred - they showed video of the crane collapse on NBC this evening. Scary for a lot of people, but especially the ones in the apartment across the street whose window was destroyed when the crane hit it.

                            Dan - nice job.

Ginny - yeah, scary.  I must have noticed the fire shortly after the boom fell off.
