I went to ParkRun today, mostly to get back to running with my son. I had no plans or goals and decided to run it blind and not push my recovering legs too hard. My splits wound up being 9:09, 8:51, and 8:31, which really pleased me as felt like I was running strong without pushing too hard on my still-recovering legs. 27:08 was a lot better than I expected and got me 9th overall.

Nice job!
I have 3 later.

3 miles around the hotel. Lots of random trash everywhere--tires, so many shoes, even an entire door lying on the sidewalk.
Now I'm watching PSU-Michigan at the sportsbook. My hair will probably reek of cigarette smoke for days.
Nice Fred! A 5k is the last thing I want to run after a marathon.
Work day rest day… thinking about Thanksgiving Day
I have a sister in law who is from Romania and at holidays I try to do something homey for her…

I’ll also make Varza Calita, a cabbage side dish

8 miles. Kinda rough.
sdWhiskers, I hate the smoke in casinos. It's definitely gotten better than when I first started going to them, but ick. I feel like I need to set an outift into a sealed bag when we stay at casinos so I don;t smell like smoke on the drive home.
Fred, nice job on the 5k.

I bailed 5 miles into my 18 miler this morning because I felt like ass, then I felt like ass after my run and most of the day, and am feeling a little less like ass now. Will attempt the LR again tomorrow.

Daffy, thanks for those. I have Romanian friends that did their MBA in PR and missed our get togethers with wonderful food like that.
Nice job Fred!
I finished my 18 miler today, even though our weather felt like ass. We’ve just come off a few beautiful clear fall days. This morning, just in time for my group long run meetup, it was steady rain and 20mph wind. Yay. My hands were already numb after the first couple miles. Fortunately it cleared up and getting less windy after a while. Still: stick a fork in me. Trying to get a big week to push past Fred’s team!

Last time I went to Vegas the smoke just smacked me in the face—I’m so accustomed to never having to deal with it.
It’s always hard for me to root for UM, even more so now. But I will always root agains PSU, since you-know-what. Can they both lose?

DH is a UM fan. When certain teams play, he roots for a meteor.

Hmmm, now I’m thinking of making Saratele so I will have something to dip with the garlic dip.
Would replace the telemea cheese with Gouda

Just sat down for The Marvels. See you on the flip side.
Those look great, daffy.
I ran 3 and then did Barre. It was gorgeous, 48F, sunny, no wind after Mile 2.
Trying to get a big week to push past Fred’s team!
As a member of Fred's team, I can tell you that you will need a HUGE week. Good luck!
