I feel like hell and saw my doc this morning. He says I got the covid and is putting me on drugs. BLAH. I appreciate that my doctor is always available same day when I need him, whether it's a broken toe, pulled ass muscle, or China flu.

Morning! I have an RD but might be able to squeeze Pilates in as my husband left work sick and I have to cancel his Pilates tonight.
Feel better soon, Baboon! And bummer.

Some miles this morning with intervals. Paces were all over the place, some way slower than expected, others a bit quicker.
Fred, from yesterday, my immediate family has always been good about canceling if someone is sick, even pre-covid. BIL & SIL, not so much. When niece was little, more than once they came to our house at Christmas with a sick kid and then DH and I would get it. Gee, thanks.
Baboon. hope you feel better and the drugs help.

Don't call it the China flu. My daughter had to go through a lot of racism in 2020 because she is Chinese. She couldn't even go to the grocery store alone in 2020. I am usually not thin-skinned unless it involves my family.
Personal Bests:
800M - 2:38 (5/28/13) | 1 Mile -5:54 (5/28/13) | 3K - 11:55 (12/29/12) | 2M - 13:00 (12/1/12) | 5K - 20:00 (4/12/13) | 13.1M - 1:37:24 (2/3/13)
Probably a rest day, but I might squeeze in 3.25 if I get home early enough. I either run today or tomorrow. I am wanting to get in 4 runs this week, but it is a challenge because I go to Warrant on Sunday.
I also got COVID…. Started not feeling well at 2:30 this morning. Did the test at 8:30 this morning.I’ve known something was up since Sunday, though, when I get sick, I get an insane appetite. I never eat breakfast except one I’m trying to run 12 or more but since Sunday I’ve been pigging out 24/7
How fudge chilling in the fridge right now… very simple easy recipe
Ingredients • 3 cups chocolate chips either semi-sweet or milk chocolate (18.6 ounces) see note 1 • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk (see note 2) • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

My apologies and no offense intended....purely a tongue-in-cheek dig at our prior leadership.
Daffy, hope you feel better. I use a similar fudge recipe. I also will add in stuff like crushed oreos or some dried berries and nuts.
Daffy, Baboon - hoping you get well soon with no long-term complications.
Starting to think I should mask up before visiting this forum.
Today I added chopped almonds….very important to carb load when you have COVID
We went back to voluntary masking at work and at best 20% are wearing one now. Not counting those with the mask as a chin strap (why?!).
I just don't get this though I see it a lot. Masking is voluntary almost everywhere around here (i.e. very few mandatory places). If you're going to bother to wear a mask, why not do it right?
I've been masking on the train and I've avoided the corporate gatherings/events. I do have a team lunch with about 10 people, but at least I know they're all vaxxed. No way of knowing what the crowd in the restaurant will be, but that's a risk I know I'm taking.

Somewhat shocking, Kid has only missed 1 school day so far this year for sickness (and we haven't sent him sick!). It seems like every other day he comes home annoyed because kids are coughing all over the place. He (and us) are either lucky or when he was sick every single day from age 0-4 gave super robust immune system.
Feel better Baboon and Daffy! Hopefully the worse symptoms will be gone before any holiday festivities later this month.

I have a HM on Saturday as well. It has 700 ft elevation drop which makes it a local favorite. Also 350 ft gain so not completely easy. And the distance is different every year One year was 12.9, another 13.4. It follows a bike path for 95% of the race with one small out/back to get the correct distance. Unfortunately, the out/back cone is at a different spot every year and apparently they haven't gotten it right yet.
