"I want you to pray as if everything depends on it, but I want you to prepare yourself as if everything depends on you."

Not sure if Joe's still maintaining the 2013 Races thread -- it hasn't been updated since February.
Here's a clone, just in case ...

Take me off Hatfield/McCoy. Turns out I have to head for Boston to help my mother and my aunt move into a senior community.
I will be doing a 5K here on May 12. Check out www.friendsrun.com. I think you can still get a $5 discount if you use the code "CJN" when check the "discounted 5K" option in the online registration.
Nolite te bastardes carborundum.
Wannabe runner
You can remove me from the Eastern Divide also. No where near ready for an ultra.
Cindy
Cliff, next up for me is the Ragnar Trail Series, June 7th - 8th.
I'm running 15 miles of the 120 mile relay.
Big Bear Lake Family Camplands, WV.
No goal time other than to finish.
Next race for me is the XTERRA White Water Center Trail Run, July 13th. 3.1 to 3.2 miles as I see conflicting distances. This is the third race in the Carolina Trail Series I'm running.
Has anyone ever done the Ortho10K? It seems like August 24 will be terribly hot.
MTA: Yeah, I registered for it. Put me down for a 10K on August 24.
A-Goal: 55 min.
B-Goal: 57-59 min.
C-Goal: Complete the distance upright and uninjured.
Ugh, terrible time. 59:30. I wish I could blame the weather but it's beautiful this morning. Wish I could blame the hills, but even though there were lots of them, they weren't so steep or long. Just blame old age.
MTA: Just saw the results and I think old-runner was there. I believe his time was around 45 min.
Is anybody running Thunder Road?
I am signed up for the half.
I have missed a lot of training time due to a piriformis issue, but I am back at it now.
So ...
A-goal: a PR which would be anything better than 2:01:14. Not expecting this on account of the shortened training period.
B-goal: anything better than the time that I hit the half way point when I ran the full, which was around 2:06. This is doable or I should forget about running.
C-goal: complete the distance in an upright position and in minimal pain
Good.
So I hit my A-goal! I PR'd at 2:01:01. Maybe not as fast as most of you guys, but I am thrilled!
