Good luck National runners! Don't know if my 1/2 will happen. Teenage DS2 has plans also. Lucky for me the field is small and only an hour away. Will have to rush over tomorrow morning, register, run, then leave and drive right back if I pull it off. DW made plans for this evening also. I think they both shoud run with me tomorrow. Week has been low on run miles but not too bad on the road bike. Congrats MrI and pre-good-vibes for Monday! {sigh} ...contemplating... www.ozarktrail100.com ... contemplating. Smile

Nice avatar Dave! Talked at length to DW. All I have to say is Hoka Hey! Looks like b2b 20's are in my future!

P2R, 26.2 miles always seemed was too far at about 23 miles. I can't fanthom an ultra, but you're great at the mega miles. Dave, Good luck tomorrow. Will be thinking of you while I run my 2:30, that suddently I'm suppose to run hard. Sad Cash, I just feel not in the game this year. It would help if we had a few sunny days. Bargain airline prices going on, good time to plan a race and help boost the economy.

Up early -- started getting restless and nervous at around 3:15. Waiting to rouse PDR -- she gets another 8 minutes.

              On the road again...

Good luck everyone! Can't wait to hear the reports. An easy 5.17 miles for me yesterday. Now I'm trying to figure out where I can plug a long run in today.....

I write. I read. I run. One time, I ran a lot on my 50th birthday.

20 miler went well this morning.
Cant wait to hear how everyone did. Im sure everybody did awesome. I got violently ill last night after the basketball games. Not sure what that was about. Need to get hydrated and full of food. Will run this evening, and plan a long run tomorrow morning.

Went sleeless and shorts which was smart once things got going. Not my best but matched my 10k pace from January and held it for a 1/2. Maybe someday I'll drop the basketball and beer drinking pre-race eve routine. Big grin Mizzou is doing well lately. Pictures maybe later. There supposed to be available today. Looking forward to the National Runners check-in.

Quick report from me -- maybe more later maybe not. PR with 1:37:12, 10th in division, 355 overall (not sure how many runners in each, though so that's not useful. PDR also PR'd with 1:54:44, 12th in division. Best part: met up with Kimmie, AmoresPerres, Dave and others. Had a nice lunch. This after Dave drove back and forth between RFK and Anacostia several times Tongue

                        Dave

20 miler went well this morning.
My 20 miler went great too. Unfortunately it was 26.2. 1:43 HM (new PR), strong through mile 21 or 22, then the wheels completely fell off. Completely. I didn't stick to my plan. I didn't control my pace. Even if I had, I'm not sure if I would've held it together all the way. 3:53 (I think). I'll post more details later. Perry was a great pacer and companion. Lunch with Kim and her family, Lou and PDR, and Perry and his wife Crystal was great.

I ran a mile and I liked it, liked it, liked it.

Glad to hear the 20 went well Mr. I! Ughhhh sorry to hear about you getting sick last night Murphy! Hope you have a great run this evening! Nice Half Pace Smile CONGRATS PDR AND LOU on the new PRS!!! Very cool that you guys all got to meet up and have lunch Smile Sorry to hear that your wheels feel off Dave!! I've heard a rumor that Shan will be doing VB tomorrow. Hope it goes well for her if she does! Can't wait to hear how Kimmie did! I'll be getting out for my run closer to 5 today. I'm being lazy today lol

Ok, while you can just look at my log, for convenience (and my own OCD), here are my splits from the Garmin. Of course, this was a 13.1 mile race so the garmin has it long (13.29). This means the real splits were about 6 seconds slower (my real overall pace was 7:25. Also for some reason the posted results had me at 1:37:12 -- not sure why the 2 second discrepency). I did have a bit of a kick at the end. I was 10th in my age group, and if I remember correctly 355 overall -- but I don't know the size of these groups so that information isn't very informative. My age grade percentage was 69.5%. (Harriet was 12th in her division and had the same age grade percentage). 13.3 miles, 1:37:14, 7:19/mi, AHR 167 (86% MHR) all splits: 7:32(156) 7:16(162) 7:18(158) 7:28(163) 7:22(167) 7:25(168) 7:36(171) 7:25(167) 7:18(166) 7:01(165) 7:12(167) 7:27(170) 7:00(171) 1:55(179) [0.29=6:34]

Dave, Sorry about the tough finish. You've been dealing with much personally and been sick, not easy to pull it all together. Lou, That's awesome. Hope the girls had a good day. I bailed on my long run. Legs are tired and I'm not feeling well. Worst part is the weather is suppose to be crappy until Wed and today was very nice. Just wasn't in the cards.
