Looks like we have a healthy 'total mileage' competition going: Fred and myself are virtually tied (and Damaris should be close too) and Mike & Quick are very close too Smile

Fred - nice run with Mike! WE had a T-storm around 5:30-6am, but it was fine after that.

I ran 5M easy, it was H&H as usual.

Morning! I have 4 after work.

      Fred, nice 6.

Vitaly, nice to be all together or close from each other mileage-wise. Nice 5.

Careful what you wish for, Vitaly.  When the cooler weather comes and you start racing again, I'll be ramping up to 50 - 60 miles/week for my marathon training.  I'm not sure you want to keep up with that while maintaining your 5k - 10k speed.

        Nice run in the H&H.

        Damaris - Enjoy the 4.

3 miles at a steady 6.1mph tonight after 2.4 miles last night most of which was at 6.5mph.

My running is both being encouraged and constrained by the 2 competitions I'm in. The RA mileage game needs 20+ miles in order to go green each week and I have enough miles left for the year to cover nearer to 30 mpw. In Fred's game in B&B, I max out my mileage points at 20 miles per week and higher mileage would lose consistency points.

I'm fairly secure in second place in the B&B game and was about to settle for that and just concentrate on the RA game but the B&B game leader has had a couple of bad weeks lately and allowed me to close the gap to the lead considerably. So for now I'm going to continue to aim to run 20-22 miles per week, which may give Mike chance to overtake my mileage and move away from me.

          Started running at age 60.

Fred - well, I've signed up for a D&L Marathon in November, so I'll have to do a couple of long runs too! But if you beat me I won't be disappointed, only proud of your accomplishment!

Damaris - hope your run went well, how's your Achilles?

Quick - nice 3M run, you are taking part in multiple competitions, keeps you engaged I'm sure!

Mike - nice run this morning!

Last run for me before the vacation (our flight is this evening) - it was 72F when I started and probably 78F when I was done, it was not pretty.

I did the pull-ups, and ran 3.5M @ HM pace (6:40 target)  - miles were 6:48, 6:30, 6:34, and 6:28 pace for the last 0.5M [6:36 pace OA]; I could have done another 0.5M at that pace, but not much more. July is relentless so far

I'll try to post when on vacation, but time will tell. Run well everybody!

Vitaly - Another marathon?  For some reason, I thought you were one-and-done.  If you train for that we may wind up with very similar mileage for the year, which would be cool.  Nice run this morning.  Enjoy your trip.

Quick - I'm glad you're enjoying the games and they keep you going.  Keep it up.

3 early morning miles for me then the ParkRun after the day had a chance to get even warmer and more humid.  Thanks to cloud cover, I was able to run a bit harder than last week.  I was 16th at the turnaround and finished 13th, as I seem to be developing a habit of picking off people who are fading.  13/77 OA, 10/44 males, and 1/2 AG.  My younger son didn't run as he was out late last night, so that's one less barrier to my chances of getting the 5k race point.

I ended up running 10 yesterday since they sent us home to WFH the afternoon due to a concert near the courthouse so I had time.

I ran 4 outside with hubby this morning in 70DP.

Fred - maybe I’m a slow learner, and that’s why I signed up for another marathon, I’ll know if it was a good decision after the race 😂

Nice job on your run and race! I believe two guys in our 2023 in 2023 group ran a 5k today, and one posted 20:04, so I don’t think you’ll be getting that point…

Damaris - nice 10 mile run yesterday and 4 mile today!

Vitaly - I generally assume I won't get the 5k point, it's just when my son comes to ParkRun with me I know I won't.   When's your next marathon?

                    Damaris - Nice spousal run.

We had 79º with a DP of 76º at 6am today, so naturally Mike & I went for an 8-mile hills run with 500+ feet of elevation.  My heart rate went higher than it did during Tuesday's track session.

Damaris - nice surprise 10 the other day and then 4 with the hubby!  Does he run with you much?  I'm trying to get my wife to walk a bit, especially at our SO practices.  A lot of the parents walk and it's a nice stroll around the park.

Quick - It's only the last 10 weeks or so that I've been more consistent with about 25 miles/week.  I'm sure we'll be close the rest of the way.

Vitaly - Nice runs.  Enjoy vacation!

Fred - ramping up to 50-60 mile weeks!  I can't imagine!  Good luck with your training.

I ran a slow 4 yesterday and then a stop and go 5.3 this morning with the Special Olympics team.  I'm eyeing a Wednesday night 5K on Vitaly's home course.  I haven't signed up yet, I'm waiting to see how stifling it'll be that night!

He only runs once or twice a week but in the past the three runs per week he was doing was normally together.

We are in the red, heading to purple. Yet every restaurant has windows and doors opened and outdoor seating full. Sheesh. We had lunch in one of those (inside but still, doors fucking open) and my throat is sore.

Mike - Fortunately, getting to 50-60 miles/week happens slowly (and hopefully it occurs in nicer weather too).  Good luck if you go for the Wednesday evening 5k.

6 for me in the persistent humidity.  Weather like this is not uncommon in NJ in summer, but we usually get it in smaller doses.  I guess we'll have to adapt since this may be the "new normal."
