    Morning!

Mike - I agree with Fred, there are hills there, but nothing crazy.

Damaris - enjoy your run and Pilates!

Quick - good job on keeping the streak alive!

Fred - no run for you today?

I repeated my speed workout from last week - 13x200m @5K (200m jog) & 0.25M @5K; average interval paces were almost exactly the same too - 6:10 last week and 6:09 today Smile

    Also did the pull-ups.

Damaris - How has the PT been going?  Any progress?

Quick - Yeah, we'll see what tonight brings in terms of results.

Mike - What's your next winter series race?  The Covered Bridge with Vitaly?

Vitaly - No, sadly no running for me today (in the office again).  Nice speed work.

As noted above, my second non-running day in a row.  Hopefully I'll get back to it tomorrow.

Damaris - Enjoy the 3 and Pilates later.

        Quick - Nice TM run.

        Vitaly - Nice workout.

Fred - Yes, I'm doing the Winter Series and I'm going to try not to race everything Smile  Covered Bridge this weekend.  I'm hoping to run part of the course tomorrow morning.

I ran 5.7 a little while ago.  Rough night, we had to say goodbye to our 12.5 year old chocolate lab Colbie.  She's the one I was giving insulin shots.  She was dealing with diabetes,  spinal pain and her back legs were really getting weak.  Sad

Mike - Nice run today! You are going to love Covered Bridge course .

Mike - I'm sorry to hear about Colbie.  Good job on the run yesterday and I hope you enjoy the tough course at the race this weekend.

Mike and I met at the track this morning for 12 x 400m with 400m recoveries.  The target was 1:54 - 1:56 per 400.  My first one was slow, which is no surprise on a cold (32º ) morning and for my first speed work in a while.  After that, I ran 1:56, 56, 56, 56, 56, 55, 55, 55, 55, 54, and 51.  The workout is heavy on the recovery time and designed in part to get used to speed work, but I especially liked it because all that recovery time gave Mike and me a chance to chat and catch up a bit since we haven't run together quite as much during our marathon recoveries.  8½ miles seems a lot easier on track days than road days even though the average pace is faster than easy runs.

            5k 23:48.45 (3/22); 4M 31:26 (2/22); 5M 38:55 (11/23); 10k 49:24 (10/22);

Fred - nice job on your track workout, I too like the long recoveries between the fast intervals.

I ran 5M easy, there were flurries in the air, but it was too warm for anything to stick to the ground.

              Former Bad Ass

Morning! I have 4 after work. Might skip my race this weekend as thunder showers do not sound like fun.

Fred, PT has been going well. I had to miss yesterday's appointment so it will be one full week when I get back. Nice workout.

                Vitaly, nice 5.

                mjhaston, I'm sorry. Sad

Damaris - Enjoy the afternoon run.

Vitaly - Nice 5 this morning.

Fred - Really nice track workout this morning.  Great pacing.

I ran 6 this morning at Tyler Park where the Winter Series is held.  I made a point to go down the Covered Bridge trail and back up.  I went a little slower than Vitaly the other day.  My pace was more like 10:00 going up the hill.  What a beast!

                    Morning!

Damaris - hope your run went well. What's your weekend race (if you decide to do it)?

Mike - nice run at Tyler yesterday. Yes, that hill is a monster, I've seen fast people walking up its steep section during the race (they were ahead of me at that point!)

I ran 6.6M easy and did the pull-ups.

                    Former Bad Ass

Morning! I graduated from PT, yay! Although it feels too soon, gah.

It's a 10K but not sure. The rain/wind combo for a race that I am going to run like an easy run does not strike me as something I want to do.

                      mjhaston, nice 6.

Vitaly, nice job on the 6.6.

Damaris - Though you've graduated, I'll wager you have plenty of exercises to keep doing.  As to the race - well, it's supposed to be something you do for fun.

Vitaly - Nice job on the morning run and pull-ups.

Mike - Well, now you know the challenge you'll face on race day.

I went out in light snow flurries for 3½ miles.  I usually take a rest day after speed work, but I've already had two rest days this week, so I just kept it short.

Damaris - good to hear you graduated from PT, hopefully you wouldn't have to go back there any time soon!

Maybe the forecast will change and you will attend the race, who knows!

Fred - nice short run; it starts to feel like winter a bit, we also had some snow yesterday and then today, but so far it's only in the air, not on the ground Smile

I snuck 3 miles in this afternoon.
