Fred - Nice long run and pace today.
Damaris - Enjoy the 3 wherever it turns out to be.
Vitaly - Really nice race this morning. Maintaining that pace, up those hills

Great job on the race, mjhaston and Vitaly!
Damaris
Great race reports, Mike and Vibe and pretty good races too .
2.3 relatively easy TM miles to end the bye week with 17 miles and hopefully set me up to go big this coming week.
Started running at age 60.
AG 60-64 PR - 5K 25:45, 10K 53:28, HM 1:57:39, Marathon 4:32:09

Upcoming race: Four on the 4th 7/4/24 maybe.
Thank you on my race everybody!
Mike - great race report! Running by feel is something we should do more often! To answer your question about going up the steep hill: on my solo run I ran the steepest part of the covered Bridge (~150 meters) at an "easy" effort (around 8:00 pace), yesterday I was running at the same hard effort and the time difference was only 2-3 seconds, so it's plausible that not killing oneself on such steep inclines might actually be beneficial.
Quick - nice taper run before the big week!
20-hour rain + wintry mix flooded the park path, one puddle was 10 meters long and ankle deep, my shoes were totally soaked, sigh. I managed to run 5 miles at 9:05 pace and did the pull-ups.

Quick, nice run.
Vitaly, nice 5.

Damaris - Enjoy whatever you wind up doing tonight.
Vitaly - I give you credit for running through that puddle. I'd likely have chosen another route.
Quick - Good luck this week.
I ran 5 easy today in a gusting wind. Mike (RP Mike, not RA Mike) told me he's registered for the half in March; a rare Sunday race for him, but I suspect it's because he has to miss running Asbury Park with me (our usual Saturday spring half) so we'll run Lincroft together.
5k 23:48.45 (3/22); 4M 31:26 (2/22); 5M 38:55 (11/23); 10k 49:24 (10/22); 10M 1:29:33 (2/24); Half 1:48:32 (10/22); Marathon 4:29:58 (11/23)Upcoming races: Scotch Plains 5k, 6/12; Firecracker 4-miler, 7/4
Damaris - since I've never done it: how intensive is your Pilates class, say compared to a 3-5 mile easy run?
Fred - nice 5M! Looks like there will be a lot of familiar faces at Lincroft!
Mike - Are you officially "in" on this one, or still in the "considering it" phase?
Fred - What date is this? I'm in the considering, but might as well do it phase

Full disclosure: it's 8:30 a.m., but the night before that, we set our clocks forward one hour.
Darn it, when will the Congress vote on stopping this madness??
All - What are your favorite HM training plans? I just used the Google machine and found this: https://www.baa.org/races/baa-half-marathon/train Level 2 looks reasonable. Level 3 looks tough, but doable I'm registered, so I guess I'm in! RD today to start off the training
Hansons has worked very well for me. A lot of people knock it for one reason or another. I don't debate the merits. I just say I like it and have gotten good results from it.
I look forward to meeting you in person.
I never really follow a plan, in this particular case all Tyler races would be my preparation for the Lincroft half. Worked pretty well this year.
