I had a coach for the most part during that time. I have a couple of training programs my old coach sent me then if you want them. I need to find them but if you are interested in looking at how I trained in those years when I was faster and for ideas, send me your email and I'll find and send them. It wasn't training addressing the TM but since Miami hit the triple digit heat indexes by March, I ended up doing all my training on the TM in 2015-2019 with my only run outside being the actual marathons. 2015 was my fastest year with 5-6 marathons being my fastest (except my PR, but matching it or close to it), even running a marathon a month in some seasons.

I ended up booking Pilates for after work, as hubby had his Pilates tonight and got a stomach bug so he had to cancel. I graciously took his spot, ha.

Thinking of going back to the compressed work schedule now that they are letting CWS people work from home 2 days per week (prior to this they stupidly only let them work 2 days one week and 1 week the week of their day off). I used to be on CWS and canceled as soon as they announced our return to work. But now with 2/2 and the 1 day off, it will be 2/3 WFH days which will feel better. Only issue is if I can get used to working 9 hours daily again.

Well, I started feeling a little under the weather Wednesday night.  Got more achy as yesterday went on.  I just took two Covid tests and I'm positive in both.  Looks like RDs for me for a bit.  This will be Dec 19, 21 and 23 now with this.  So far just really achy.

Mike - Sorry to hear you've fallen ill.  Two people in another forum I frequent also have Covid.  Seems like it's coming back for the holidays (and of course my company just rescinded the sick days they'd granted us during the pandemic).  Get well soon.

Damaris - I'm glad you can use CWS to get more days at home.  Too bad about your husband's stomach bug but at least you made good use of it.

I ran 7 with 4 at HM pace with Mike, targeting a faster pace than we did last week and hoping to edge it up again next week to get back to where we were prior to marathon training.  We both like the faster paces of HM training.  For those of you who run in the cold, do you ever find you're warm enough while running, but after you get home and sit down you feel cold?  That's been happening to me more and more.  It was 30º for this morning's run and I finished feeling quite warm and sweaty, but now, an hour later, I'm cold.

Morning! I have 4 and my PT workout later. My hamstring is so sore from the PT workouts on Tuesday; apparently, I went too hard on them.

                Morning!

Mike - oh no, so sorry to hear . Hopefully the symptoms remain mild and you are back at it really soon!

Damaris - 9 hours are not that different than 8 hours, it's worth that extra day off you'll be getting! Hope your hamstring feels better!

Quick - looking at your past marathons one thing is clear: try to hold your horses during the first half . Maybe you'll get a chance to do a couple of longer runs outside just to test the waters and see how different same pace feels outside vs treadmill. But you have plenty of time to prepare for it, definitely something to look forward to.

Fred - nice job on your tempo run! I don't usually have the problem you described, but after taking a shower I put on warm clothes and maybe that helps me not to get cold.

I ran 3.5M easy and did the pull-ups.

Damaris, thanks for offering to share your past marathon plans but as they are basically outdoor runs done on the treadmill, I'll devise my own plan.

Aiming for a finish time close to 4:30 gives a marathon pace of around 10:20 per mile, but to continue all aspects of my current streak I'm completing all my TM runs under 10:00 per mile. In the playoffs I've been running 5-6 miles every day at 9:40-9:50 pace and I would class those as no more than moderate effort. Still trying to figure out whether it is feasible to keep the streak going as I build for the marathon.

Mike, any idea where/when you caught your CoVid? I hope not at a race.

                  Started running at age 60.

Quick - I'm thinking the only extended time I was out and in close proximity to people was at a VisionWorks last Friday for an eye appointment and glasses.  I did have that race with Vitaly on Sunday, but being outdoors I would hope that would really lesson any spread.  But you never know.  I searched today and it says I could have been exposed 2-14 days ago!  So that doesn't really help!  So far, my wife is negative and my son is staying away!

Yeah, they are. I doubt there are TM plans for marathons; running on TMs is the same as outside for the most part.

Morning! Didn't sleep much, I mean, didn't sleep at all thanks to hubby's coughing attacks. Sigh. In the office and in need of a 5 hour nap.

I have 3 after work and will lift too.

Vitaly - I feel worse than yesterday, but not as bad as previous bouts (so far).  My wife is positive now and she seems sicker than me.  She gets illnesses like this and they settle in her chest.
