The RB Winter Trail Challenge (Dam Half / Dam Full) is one of four venues involved in the GRAND SLAM of PA trail events! We are teaming up with three other popular trail events….The Bald Eagle Megatransect, The Hyner View Trail Challenge and The Rothrock Challenge to bring you “The Mother” of all racing series!!! SO….Do you have what it takes… the strength, the endurance, the mental toughness???? Make 2009 the year you literally climb to the top of your fitness goals!
The Dam Half is a challenging trail ½ marathon staged in central Pennsylvania that has expanded to become a dual trail competition to include a marathon.  We hope that runners and hikers will continue to enjoy the 13-mile course that takes contestants over single & double track trails with some portions of fire roads.  The contestants will be subjected to rocks, mud,
downed trees, stumps, roots, woodland creatures and small stream crossings.  Competitors will scale challenging ascents with scenic vistas before the final downhill to the finish line!

The inaugural Dam Full will lead runners and speed hikers further out along new trails in Bald Eagle State forest.  Cut-off times will be posted and enforced to ensure safety of the contestants and our support personnel.

Both loops will provide excellent support and trail preparation that our committee has become known for.  We will post more information in the upcoming weeks.

The elevation gains will surly leave legs screaming for mercy. Afterwards, contestants will bask in the camaraderie around the pavilion, complete with a warm fire and delicious food. This race is open to all levels of athletes who share a common love for the adventurous outdoors. Other namesakes to this outstanding event are the attractive long sleeve t-shirts, awesome top-finisher awards, abundant door prizes, and overflowing goody bags.  Earn a Marathoner’s finishing medal at this year’s inaugural Dam Full.
