Could you please change mine to 1560? (Re-flare-up of old injury; wild card as to how long it takes to correct). Thanks! --Christine
Hello - question about the 6 points/week awarded for "% of goal" (i.e., number of team members who met their weekly mileage goal):
I lowered my annual goal to 1560 (30 mpw) due to an injury. But I'm already at 1530ish miles, which means soon I won't count toward the "% of goal" benchmark.
In this case, do you reduce the *number* of team members contributing to that stat by one (so I'm not a drag on the team), or do you leave the number of team members the same (in which case I am a drag on the team)?
Christine
Once you hit your yearly goal, you no longer can go green so you count on your team as someone who isn't green. It's not perfect. I know. This is to discourage runners from setting a goal that is way too easy and hitting goal in the fall or sooner. I know it's tough with an injury to know what you are going to run the rest of the year; that's partly why the goal is now a set one and not a pace bunny. Injured runners would get behind and end up with a huge weekly goal. (If you need to go IR, take a zero week and let your captain know you need to go IR.)
Are you sure about 1560? I can change it later today if this clarification changes anything.

I'm going to tweak my mileage only slightly so that it doesn't drop the weekly value too much. I'm set at 800 miles. Drop me down to 700 miles; that should drop me into a range that will be a bit challenging for the moment but should also be a green goal towards the end of the year.
