Occasional Runner
Happy Friday Trailers!
Heading out shortly for an easy 6, followed by some time at the gym. We'll start making our way to Moab around mid morning.
Luke Nelson was in town last night and gave an ultra running presentation at one of my sponsors shops. Jo and I went down to listen and Luke started his talk by honoring my ATY win, which I thought was really cool.
QOTD: Are you active on any other forums, running related or not? (excluding Facebook).
I'm not, but I pop into RWOL sometimes because I still get a lot of blog traffic from that site and I like to see what those discussions are all about. Plus, it's interesting to see how that place has changed.
Morning! Gripping the coffee cup pretty tightly this morning, trying to wake up and get motivated for the day. Another day of cross training. Probably yoga, most likely hot yoga, which will be a change. Those of you running today- have fun! Racing this weekend- good luck!
qotd: I was inspired to go visit RWOL with this question. Just on a quick glance, it seems quieter over there. As for other forums, I follow a local gardening forum/club and that is pretty much it.

Lace, Tear it up this weekend!
QOTD: I wander over to RWOL and spend a little time on a archery forum.
Morning!
4 miles late last night at the track. A few on tap for after work.
QOTD: I check RWOL. I also lurk on a welding forum (getting project ideas) and a BBQ forum (I just scored a free compressor tank that I'll be turning into a reverse flow, off-set smoker over the summer)
Trail and Ultra Running User Group
Busy day today, so I won't run today.
QOTD: Yes. I am fairly involved in two other forums: Bayou Bucks and Mississippi Bull Nettle. Both those are hunting forums. I am only involved in the turkey hunting forums on those because that is the only thing that interests me. Also, I have a blog I do on Bayou Bucks where I write about turkey hunting and trail running. I like the Mississippi forum better because there are a large number of people on there who really know turkey hunting.

Endless trails
SRD for me today. I've been having chest pians on and off for a few weeks, not
sure whats going on-pretty sure its just muscular-it started again this morning.
QOTD: I took a look at RWOL after reading this too, lots of new faces. I'm part of
TARC but they use FB as their forum.
running under the BigSky
strength training this evening
qotd: I frequent backpackinglight- several of the folks there are trail runners as well

SRD today and long run tomorrow. Weather looks to be near 50 degrees, so I probably will get heat exhaustion.
Good luck to any racers AND volunteers this weekend.
QOTD: Just a bunch of Porn Forums, they're similar to RA and RWOL since they talk about fluids and endurance and also have a barefoot section .
“Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!

40 minutes on the bike last night. I have such a fun weekend planned...painting, cleaning, more painting. I can't wait until this is over.
GL this weekend lace. I will try and keep "watch" on FB.
QOTD: Ummm....I am on RWOL but under an alias. But I don't post much...just a little here and there.
Have a great weekend!
My favorite day of the week is RUNday
Barefoot forum?
Nice swim this morning followed by a light weight session and elliptical. Not able to push the big weights yet but slowly getting there. Rest day from running with the plan being a long push at pace tomorrow. Kind of a test as I need to know if I really feel like entering anything long coming up. Just really don't know if I have the desire to get beyond 25k or 30k anymore.
Runtrail--Get well!
Gator--Always good to see another hunter here!
Warden--I'll have to check that site. Sounds interesting.
QOTD- No facebook, ever. I went back to RWOL a couple months ago and it looked pretty barren. Can't remember my log in and no longer have that email address. No interest there. I have been a steady lurker for a decade on a Badger basketball forum but have never joined in.
I already know everything there is about grouse hunting so no need to join those discussions.

Nothng..it was a bad running week and I have a 50K tomorrow. I still want to finish 5:45 so may have to force a little pain on myself.
Jon: Hope it's stress from the new job.
AT:
QOTD: No. But I may also check out ATs other forum.

Lace,
did I miss it? Are you doing a race this weekend? or just some trail running?
Good luck either way!
No, the Hoka forum.

I'm heading to Moab to try to beat the current FKT on the White Rim Trail. The current record has stood since 2006. The trail is 100 miles long and the FKT is 18:43:22. So...that's the plan.
