2015 Goals (Read 62 times)

Cut and pasted from last year...

    1. Stay healthy.

    2. Keep the trail running fun.

    That is about it.

      1. Finish Javelina Jundred in one piece and drink a a beer with laceup at the end of the day.

      2. Get LB2 on a New Mexico turkey and run some miles in the Gila NF with a new com padre

      3. Finish top ten at Cedro Peak 45k

      4. Have fun and get more consistent and I think if I sign up for a 100 it will happen.

      5. Drink less beer and more bourbon, mainly because that's what I am doing now.

      6. Be more consistent and engaged on this forum, you all Rock!

At this point I just want to run consistently. To somehow get a handle on my home and work life so I can go out and enjoy my runs. Right now when I run I spend all my time feeling guilty that I am out running and not at home keeping things under control. I have  not run for a week.

EDRW, your goals have really touched me.

            For me, it's

            - to stay healthy,

            - have fun on the trails, and

            - run two hundred milers this year,

            - and maybe a 50M or a 100k, just for the fun of it.

I'd like to pace a friend (one of my running buddies, or DD?) in a race, too, but it seems I'm not very good at convincing them that longer distances are fun to run (hear me, Jamie?).

            Run for fun.

Given my injury situation, a bit early to set firm goals, so:

              1. Run 1500+ miles, injury free (not counting existing Achilles niggles, which hopefully end soon) and get back in real running/cycling shape

              2. Complete the California Triple Crown Stage Race -- go sub 14 hrs at Devil Mountain, sub 13 (hopefully sub 12.5) at the Terrible Two and sub 12 at Mt. Tam. I should be able to do this even if running does not go to plan

Assuming 1 works out on the running front:

              A. Finish Sean O'Brien 100km (run Transgrancanaria if the stars align)

              B. Finish Zion, maybe under 24 hrs.

              C. Run :Leadville, Wasatch or Cascade Crest if I get into one of these under 24 or 25 hrs

              D.  Pace Lace somewhere fun

              E. Crew somebody at WS
