made the mistake of ordering off of ebay ...a pair of speedcross 3. They were advertised as being mens 9 1/2 with tags ... hard luck story from someone who found they were too small..came with tags. Unfortunately the shoes are not only smaller than my present 9 1/2 the tag spells out "SPEEDCROS6 3W". I've never seen salomon use the 6 as part of the speedcross style and W typically is for women. Curious if anyone has seen this?
sounds like you definitely got some counterfeit shoes. Have you contacted the seller and asked for a refund? That's what I'd do, including contacting ebay, as well. If it was an honest mistake, the seller should want to remedy it quickly (and avoid a bad rating from a buyer calling them out publicly on fake merchandise).
Personally, I definitely would not run in them (based on a previous injury with cheap shoes of suspect origin).
