Harrier - we've talked a lot about trekking poles.  Neither of us have ever tried them.  I'm open to the idea, but just haven't found a really good reason to pull the trigger yet.  And yes, I definitely need to tell you my Grand Canyon thoughts in person.  We should figure out a time to go for a hike!
