running under the BigSky
Gorgeous!
When NH and I were going through that section it was raining fairly hard and the wind had really picked up- footing sucked (slick) and combined with the wind, made walking the thin "line" interesting

Doing that race in the rain and wind would be truly badass. I heard there was a year with hail -- was that your year? We had a lovely sunny stroll.
5/11/24 Grizzly Peak Marathon, Berkeley, CA
7/20/24 Tahoe Rim Trail 56 miler, NV
9/21/24 Mountain Lakes 100, OR
thankfully just light hail- big hail would be dangerous up there w/ not a lot of places to get out of it
the rain did cool it down, so that was a benefit
did they give you high tech Patagonia shirts? we got really nice shirts- I held mine up and thought it was too big, they let me exchange for a smaller one- got home and the damn thing was too small!!
Great job!! Congratulations!! Two great runs, thanks for the report and photos.
I like your view on training levels and then getting it done on the day. I subscribe to the same philosophy.

Great pictures on what sounds like a great weekend ! Congratulations on two strong races!
