    This weekend's Boston is the first one in which I personally know someone who's running. This fact has given new focus to my training, and, after a few ultras this summer, I'm going to take my BQ shot at the Northern Central Trail Marathon in November. Anyone else setting plans for a BQ race this year?

      PerfesserR - weird: we were thinking the same thing at almost the same time! Sorry to hear about Tucson, but I still think that the fact that you're getting so close is a good sign. The training partner I mentioned above ran seven marathons before he qualified.
