Doh.
I need more friends out west for sure.
Considering it's quite a way travelling wise I might have to decline. As it's a point to point it's going to take a while getting home by the looks of it.
London 50k it will be then.
Cider IS carb loading
book a dirty cockroach breeding facility travelodge?!
I'm staying with a mate in oxford, about 3 miles run from the Iffley Rd bridge near the start. I might have a drink early night on friday.
It will be a good chance to get ready for the SDW which is my main revised target for 2011.
Stating your intent very early Bobban, so the 103mile SDW Race is your weapon of choice for next year. Good choice, as i have my eye on it as well (among others ). I am doing the Greensand Mara on 17th October if you are interested.

am going to run clarendon on sunday most likely. It will be the first test of the legs after the 88.
with the rain coming down I have invested invested in an OMM Kameleika for the wet weather and I can confirm that after 10 in torrential rain, it is totally waterproof. A good investment.
Bring on the Ghosts
It keeps on haunting me!!!
Good luck @ Clarendon, with the amount of rain i think trail shoes may be required. Must get your running vest and a copy of the newspaper to you (sorry, been a lazy ass). What weekends are you free over the next couple of months so we can schedule a meet up at a Mara somewhere fairly close.
Boys I have signed up for Thames Trot today.
Got a pass from my domestic secratary! Just got to arrange getting there and back in the simplest way. Might drive :-)
Whooppeee
Didn't do Clarendon.
Am struggling to find a marathon between now and xmas to do as am at a couplke of work commitments when there are good runs on........grrrrrrr....frustrating.
having said that I am going to have a go at a longer run than I have been doing and will hopefully be up to circa 50 miles a week after ridgeway.
possibly Founders challenge 24th Oct? it's in Surrey Hills so nearby.
Hi Bobban
Sorry to hear you are being kept too busy at work to get out as much as you would like. I have found a Mara on the 11th December - Portsmouth Coastal Waterside Mara, which is multi terrain out and back route along coastal path, limit of 200, supports the RNLI and already over half full, fancy it? How about you Jerry, any good to you?
Out for 18 - 20 miles tomorrow, nice easy pace just to get the legs ready for Greensand Mara next weekend, what about you?
That sounds like a good idea. I need something.,..... I am getting FAT
Looks like a nice flat marathon from what I read, the waterside bit gave that away
I will have a chat with Mrs S as things are a bit tight moneywise here as I am completely refurbishing the drawing room in the West wing at the moment
Just entered, 157 spaces (including mine) have now gone according to the website so only 43 places left.
